I was wondering if anyone had thought of a file explorer plugin?
I have many different devices (digital camera, mp3 player, smartphone etc) and would often like to copy information to/from GBPVR. As my HTPC is a dedicated machine, I have only the remote and it would be great just to have some basic file handling without having to get out the mouse and muck around in windows. This is one of the plugins I found very usefull while using media portal and would be great in GBPVR. Would have thought it should be easy to implement as well.
I know this really isnt the best place for this question as I think it is more hauppages problem then gbpvr, but they dont seem to want to answer my questions via email or on shspvr site. Figured someone here might know whats up; so copying my post here. :o
I was having the issue of the blaster stop working after a few minutes of idle time issue, but was able to solve that thanks to some great information here, I am, however, still losing IR blaster control (Remote works fine for menus and such, just not controlling my cable box) every time I record something. I can get it back by restarting the IR program but a) that is really kludgy and b) wouldnt help if I had set 2 or more things to record on different channels while I was not around to restart the program.
I have tried all of the official page drivers, the 2 latest prerelease drivers + the new cdlite, and a hodgepodge of older drivers between the offciial and latest prereleases.
I primarily use the newest version of GBPVR software wise.
Hardware wise, My media machine is:
Shuttle SN45G (NForce 2 board)
AMD XP 3000+
1 Gig of dual channel geil golden dragon ram
Geforce 5600 256mb
Software wise, I am currently running:
XP Pro SP2, 2600 version
Nforce Unified Driver 5.1
pvr_2.0.34.23168
hcw2.2.22301pp2
blastcfg version is: 2.0.22355 (above package has version 1.3.x that does not have the motorola entries i need)
Really getting frustrated and thinking about returning the thing and getting one of the ATI solutions, but hate to give up after spending so much time trying to get it to work right. Any help would be much appreciated.
I have kind of a weird problem I think. The discovery channel is channel 45 where I live. Channel 45 is the only channel that has no audio when I access it through GBPVR. I am using a brand new Hauppauge 150PVR. At first there was no audio on just channel 45 when I opened wintv 2000. I went to channel configuration and deselested automatic fine tuning (ATF) for channel 45, and I adjusted the fine tuning manually and it didn't take much and the audio was there. Now everytime I open wintv 2000, channel 45 has audio just like any other channel. However if I access channel 45 by selecting the "Live Tv" button, or selecting to "watch" a program on the "Tv Guide", there is no audio. Please help me, I just know there is something simple I am forgetting to do. Thanks to all who reply.
I keep getting 0 byte recordings. It appears to be when I have two recordings going on at the same time, one of them is 0 bytes.
I have a WinTV-PVR 500, and I didn't have this problem before. (I have had problems with overlapping recordings and such before, but the current algorithim is working great for me...this is a new problem.)

The log has a bunch of :
7/10/2005 8:59:04 PM.370 VERBOSE [45] SourceConfigurationContainer.LoadAll()
Can that be shut off? Every two seconds...makes the log kind of large.
This program was 0 length too: It was at 9:30, after the 9:00 Family Guy, but while the 9:00 4400 was still recording:

A patent pending OSD engine overcomes Xcard's 256 color OSD restriction to display images with a full range of colors, so user interface is as vibrant as displayed on a 32 bit colored PC display.
I can't get GB-PVR to work in Windowed Mode. Yes, I have the box ticked in configuration. I even uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would work. I have searched the forums and could not find an answer. I am extremely novice at all this, so if anyone is kind enough to help me, I hope that you can explain it to me in simple and detailed terms. Thanks very much for any help you are able to provide me. Jack
My GBPVR has been in service for about a week now and I've noticed two problems.
Video decoder: Cyberlink
Audio decoder: Cyberlink
Renderer: Directsound SoundMax
1. In Live Preview mode the video will occasionally 'stutter' for several frames and then pick up. There are no apparent system problems, no one is accessing the system, etc. This occurs a random interval, sometimes as long as a half hour or so other times within a few minutes.
2. In Live Preview mode the video and audio will slip out of sync over a long period. If the system is on the same channel over a period of several hours the video/audio will gradually slip to a noticeable degree. If you exit and re-enter Live TV the video/audio start back in sync and again gradually slip out of sync.
This is my first post here though I've been reading a lot of the threads. Thanks for creating a great program. Too bad I just can't get it to work with my new Sapphire Theatrix card.
Some of my info:
- Sapphire Theatrix 550 Pro (Cyberlink remote control and PowerCinema bundle)
- PAL-B country (Singapore)
- WinXP Pro SP2
The tuning assistant works fine and detects all the channels, but when I try to watch, there's only static and blurred video, and totally no audio. I've searched the forum and tried the solutions posted, but none worked for me. Everything works fine with PowerCinema and BeyondTV, though BTV had scratchy audio and no full support for the Cyberlink remote control. Only a few of the remote's basic buttons worked with GBPVR, though I don't think it's supported here as well.
I'm really hoping to see this work, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
