Hello, I'm back!
I have an ATI Theater 550 Pro card and it came with one of the "purple boxes" with composite and S-Video in. I'm trying to play PS2... hahaha. How can I tell GB-PVR to collect the signal from the composite in?
Haha why don't I play with the settings before asking questions?

Channel 1! Excellent! Thank you so much!
I've read the quick start manual and some of the other links I could find, and I've searched and read some of the forums and just tried different things and I'm happy to say it all seems to be working again! I'm just trying to put it all together now and figure out what I did.
Couple question I have and forgive me if there are in FAQ or something but I can't seem to find it. I am trying to figure out what version of what I am running and whether it really matters. I understand there is some loading of software or the dongle.bin that occurs, and this is required whether running the Hauppage software or GBPVR is this correct? How do I know what version of this is running? How can I tell what version of GBPVR I installed, and does it matter anymore what version of Hauppauge software I have? It seemed to me I read that the hauppauge software was needed, but then I thought I read somewhere that it was no longer needed. I can't keep it all straight, sorry!
Thanks for the help, or any pointers to documentations that lays this all out!
I have Windows Xp setup with multiuser accounts! GBPVR was installed on one of them...therefore GBPVR doesn't work or start at all in the other account.
Probably because the recording service is not starting in the 2nd one. What can I do about it...to make sure I don't miss a recording simply because the system is log into the wrong account!
Also...am I correct when I say that GBPVR won't record is Windows is still on the user login welcome screen?
How do you get the best image quality when using the MVP and watching live tv.
I have the box for use ffdshow with transcode but when watching live tv I do not see any ffdshow processes running. Is there some sort of config I need to make in ffdshow in order to get this to work? What are the best ffdshow setting?
I love gb-pvr, I'm just trying to get it to work its best.
Hi, I'm new to all this TV on ya pc t hingy. In fact I haven't even bought a card yet. I was wondering, is it possible to plug a regular freeview box into the card in order to get freeview, or do I have to invest in a rubbish freeview card that doesn't have Mpeg2 decoding (or something like that). I say this because the freeview cars I have seen happen to be cheaper than the hardware pvr-250's which aren't digital receivers.
The big improvement is in the usage of Aspect Ratio to generate additional candidate cutpoints
This version can not be used in timeshift mode (live_TV) to generate commercial info while watching.
The code includes the disabled possibility to generate additional candidate cutpoints some seconds before a logo appears and some seconds after a logo disappears.
The measured timing is logged in the log file.
I would like to receive your feedback on what would be good timings so I can enable this user tunable function in a next release.
If I try to rename a manual recording while I'm creating it, I get this error:
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Once the recording has been created, I have no problem changing its name, but during its creation it doesn't take to it too well. It's certainly not the end of world as problems go, but it would be nice to get it fixed.
