I am capturing using a PVR350 and using the TV out on my GeForce4 MX 440 and the quality is near perfect
The only problem is that on the TV out the edges of pictures are cuttoff - only really noticable whike watching video - especially when the OSD is on...
I suspect this relates to my MX440 as all is ok on my monitor - but I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has had similar problems...
I'm in the UK using PAL if that makes any difference!
Recently I've lost my GBPVR system because the hard drive in my main PC died, and while I'm waiting for a replacement, I've resorted to having to watch DVDs.
As I normally do everything through GBPVR, and everything was on the HD, this was not normally a problem, and I very rarely used the DVD player. Also, most of the DVD's I normally watched were home made.
So today, I decided to watch some of my bought DVD's, and needless to say, I had very bad results.
As soon as the DVD loads, the picture fades in and out, sometimes disappearing completely. Sadly, my television is pretty ancient (RF in only), but the VCR is newer (scart) so I had my DVD player connected to the scart socket.
This was fine for most DVDs, even my bought collection of stargate DVDs, but not some of the ones I wanted to play.
I believe it's something to do with the fact I have it going through the VCR. I read on the internet something about protection to prevent copying. However, I have no choice because there is no other way to connect my DVD player to my television, and I dont see why I should have to buy a new television just because they're worried some people might want to copy their DVDs. I most certainly do not, I just want to watch them, and as I bought them, I don't see why I shouldnt.
So I'm here in the hopes there may be someone who can help give me some kind of solution. I'd just like to watch what I've bought. Is there any way I can watch these DVDs in my setup?
TV: RF input only
VCR: Scart input, RF output
DVD Player: Scart output

Following my recommondation on GB-PVR some users started to use GB PVR with Hebrew with rather success results.
However there are some gliches, one of them is MP3 display. If there Hebrew caption in the song itself, then the display is gibrish not hebrew, however if no data is in the song itself then the hebrew is displayed correctly. In order to solve this either consult the locale to decide that is should use Hebrew encoding font and coding.
Send me a private message and I will send you both a hebrew song and hebrew font so you can test it.
P.s. Why you dont support MP3 play as OCX/ACTIVX with other players graphical view, like MS media player with visual effects or WinAmp media player which other software (MediaPortal for example) usage. Visual effects is something that is missing in this version.
Anyone know if you can extend a recording while it is in progress? The film I'm recording started half an hour late so I want to extend the recording by 30 minutes.
I also have the xRecord plugin installed if that's any help.
Any help within the next 50 minutes would be appreciated greatly.
I've just installed v0.92.11 and Timeshift Mode has ceased to work, it just hangs on the "Starting Timeshift Mode TV. Please Wait"!
The Programme is being recorded as I can see the file in my recordings directory and the CPU is 0at 100% with GB-PVR.exe.
It worked great in all previous versions. I'm clueless as to why it's happened now!
I've checked thru the logs and there isn't a single error message.
Is anybody having similar problems.... or anyone got a solution??
I have GBPVR setup on a server box, with a Hauppauge 150. Along with 2 Media MVPs, which works great outside of not being able to run AC3 audio.
Really be much nicer to just be able and use DVD Shrink for my video archive.
I was wondering if I can get GBPVR to run to my other computers similarly to how it runs to the MediaMVPs.. being able to access the main controller without setting up servers or having individual tuners on each computer?
Does anyone know if the shutdown plugin supports keyboard shortcuts, as I'd like to map my power button on the remote to open the shutdown menu and then power button again to choose the shutdown option.

I got only a single capture card (want to buy another but that's for later), and have lots of recordings, on different channels.
I also have me a huge archive of movies that I own / recorded from TV on VHS, which I recently decided to rip and be rid of the VHS tapes (about 450 of them).
To find the hours when I can schedule a manual line-in recording is difficult, since I need to combine info from Pending and Reoccurring recordings.
It would have been nice (maybe a wishlist item) if there was an easy way to see what hours are free for more recordings...
I've searched on the board and found others with problems like mine and I've followed all of the advice with no change in the schedule in the gbvr listings. Zap2it is one hour early, I've tried using xmltv using my time zone(Mountain time -0700) as well as CleanXMLTV to try and shift the time slots an hour. Nothing seems to bump my listings up an hour. It doesn't seem like it should be such a complicated procedure, I've been tinkering all day. If anyone has any suggestions they'd be appreciated.
i'm very new to GBPVR and have the following problem:
I can do recordings using my PVR 150, and they used to be perfectly playable. i could skip forward, backwards, stop and restart, all without problems.
now without having changed anything gbpvr can start playing a file but shows it's duration of only 1 sec. also if i then try to skip forward or stop the playback the screen of my MVP turns black and it seems GBPVR has locked up.
Does anyone have a suggestion for me what i have to do to resolve that?
