Hello all! Love the program so far, one question. I have many DVD's burned to my HD. I copy the full DVD over, and normaly use PowerDVD to play them. Is they a way to get it so when I see the list of DVD's, I can get a picture of the DVD cover and/or more information on the DVD. I did see they is somthing like that now, but it makes you convert your DVD to .mpg file, and I do not want to lose to quility.
Hi. I have a FusionHDTV USB tuner. I'm trying to set it up with gbpbr. Does anyone know what the appropriate BDA settings are? I tried selecting FusionHDTV DVB-T, but when I try to map the channels, it says that it gbtv is unable to select the device selected.
Hi
I´ve got a plain Win2k SP4 install on my machine. The Hauppauge Software for my MVP and PVR150 was also installed and works as expected.
With this configuration i can play each video (MPEG/DivX/XViD), both local and from network.
But i wanted more, or in other words i wanted the features of GB-PVR. I´ve installed GB-PVR and after 3 days with little trouble and many help from your search function i´ve got the software running. Anyhow the Live-TV function runs very well.
But with playing videos i ran in one problem after another. I´ve tried to track them down, but with nearly no success.
Until now, i can play some local MPEG files like the ones i´ve recorded with the PVR150. But if i select a MPEG video from my landiskdrive (mapped as t:\), which works with MVPMedia software, i´ve got this result:

Another problem i´ve found after several tries, the GB-PVR doesn´t like umlauts (äöüÃ):

This is no real problem, because these files can be renamed quickly, but i´m already posting...
Last but not least, with GB-PVR i can play no .avi video, local or network makes no difference. Some videos starts playing, but after maybe 10sec the MVP is kicked back to the selection screen. Others turn the screen black and the MVP reboots. I´ve reinstalled the pc several times, with differend codecs and differnd versions of ffdshow. Also i´ve changed the dongle.bin which comes with GB-PVR, against some of the Hauppauge packages (stable/beta/out of date). My last try was to start the MVPSrv process while GB-PVR ist running, but with no success...
Do you have any ideas which solves my problems with playing video? I don´t want to use two tools, if one of them should be capable of doing both jobs (Live-TV and video playback).
I hope my english is not to bad and some of my problems are understandable.
Greetings
JD
p.s. one more to go...
With one .avi file i´ve got another error, but i don´t knew where it cames from:
Code:
21.06.2005 23:09:40.296 INFO [42] playFile()
21.06.2005 23:09:40.296 INFO [42] Found commercial skip point file: t:\filme\Film1.avi
21.06.2005 23:09:40.359 ERROR [42] Unexpected error parsing commercial skip point file
No, i have not installed any commercial search tools of any kind.
And it doesn´t play like all of them.
i'm using a pvr-150 and a pvr-350. hardware decoding is activated.
now i have the option to buy another second-hand pvr-350 at ricardo.ch (kinda like ebay) for almost nothing.
before i set a bid, i would like to ask if anyone ever had two 350 in one system... as there are several user who use more than one 150 i think there should not be a problem with 350s.
but... what about the hardware decoding? does gbpvr just pick the first 350 it finds for decoding or will it be 'confused'
Just got my new 500MCE and I'm LOVING The quality - thought I might miss the mpeg4 feature of the TV Walker I had but this new card beats the old one hand down - faster startup, cleaner picture and of course the dual-tuner. My problem is that if I set one recording up on TV2 it tapes TV3 (while reporting the filename etc for whats on tv2) - If I go into the tv listings, click a program on two and say watch - it timeslips tv2 - if I click the same program and say quick record it records the channel 3 program.
At one point I did have it recording both tv2 and 3 at the same time and I got them both but since then its been quite consistent in getting it wrong. I tried recording 2 and 3 and got the program on 3 twice.
I have media centre edition as well and thats behaving with the same channel freq's and order - but I have to say theres a few polished niceties in MCE but GBPVR is just so quick/functional/logical to use - mce is too cumbersome and having to use an external guide is a pain.
Good timing on the arrival of the card too - my TV Walker appears to have given up the ghost the day before my new one arrived. Also I had to remember to run the TV Walker everytime I rebooted my machine after an update otherwise I wouldn't get the audio right (got white noise like it was off freq).
Yet, if I open the demux.ajb file with the notepad, the filename is correct! However, if think I've found the problem: if I open the demux.ajb file with the notepad and save it as ANSI, then cpvas reads the filename properly.
Conclusion: I guess the demux.ajb file is created as a Unicode file while cpvas expects an ANSI file. Am I right? Is there anyway to easily change that in demux.exe?
Ok so after all the trials with cyberlink mux the new one exhibits some strange behavour. If I record just on the nova-t all is fine. If I do a recording on the PVR150 and or the 350 the recording that the nova-t makes is like a series of stills. Looking at the file its largly fragmentented. Live TV is fine on all cards. Any ideas?
I am using the 92.8 build of GBPVR and just got the new Divx 6 creation program to archive some of my programs. I was wondering how i get GBPVR to recognize and play these files. I have the codec on my system and am able to watch the file fine in WMP and Divx player....but GBPVR wont recognize the Divx files in my default video library.
I am aware that there is baic support for divx and other mpg4 conversions, but how do i get gbpvr to recognize them?
Can any one please help with the details of the patch to get dual 150 cards working ?
I have searched but cannot find it on the forums.
First card works fine, second card cannot be found by MVP units. Reports no tuner available. Cards listed as 1 and 2 in setup, installed in first 2 PCI slots
