I need a new channel changer
Posted by: garfield - 2005-06-23, 04:48 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

When I built my new pvr, I ordered a MCE Remote Control. The IR package was appearently defective as I could not make it work on either my Cable box or Directv box in MCE 2005 or in GB-PVR. It would cost more to send it back than it is worth. Can someone suggest a replacement USB IR receiver that works on most boxes.

I like the MCE control so I want to keep it.

  Audio Slightly out of sync
Posted by: garfield - 2005-06-23, 04:40 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I just built myself a pvr system using an ATI TV Wonder Elite card. I was not entirely pleased with MCE 2005 so I tried GB-PVR. The picture quality is Excellent (Much better than MCE) but the audio is slightly out of sync, just enough to be annoying (abt. 200ms leading the video). Can anyone tell me if this is a common problem or offer possible solutions.

Error comes up when trying to view live TV
Posted by: Tatsuyo - 2005-06-23, 04:15 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I've recently just installed Windows XP Home Edition SP2. I have the cable to the outlet connected to a cable splitter, splitting the cable to my modem and to my hauppauge tv-pvr 250MCE. Whenever I click the Live TV option in Gbpvr an error pops up that displays my system information and has a section called Application data with a bunch of letters below it. Any Ideas on whats wrong? and I do have the 250 MCE drivers installed.

  Web interface for GBPVR recordings
Posted by: Kevina - 2005-06-23, 03:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

OK, I've searched around and didn't see this issue posted in any of the other threads. This is not a big deal, but I noticed that when using the web interface to access GBPVR's recordings and TV guide (which I absolutely love, by the way!!), when I click on the Play button next to a recorded show, I get a message box asking if I want to save or open the file. The funny thing is that it is attempting to download an m3u file, and wants to open it with MusicMatch!

Any idea why it's downloading an m3u file? I expected that it would have just linked to the actual recorded file via an unc name, but no such luck. I've tried this both from the server and network clients, all with the same results. Is there something that I need to configure, or is this just a bug? It would really be nice if this worked since we don't have a network "client" version of GBPVR, being able to peruse the recordings and play them from this interface would go a long way!

Thanks!

Can't fwd or rev when watching a current recording
Posted by: dazz - 2005-06-23, 03:32 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

When I am watching what is currently being recorded, I can't skip fwd or rev. Nothing happens upon ctrl-right-arrow. There is a weird number on the RHS of the display.

  NOOB question about keyboard hotkeys.
Posted by: wlemst88 - 2005-06-23, 02:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Well, I have GB working pretty good, but one thing I'd like to get going is having the ability to use the the pause/stop/ff/rev buttons on my multimedia keyboard working. Are there any ideas?

Thanks

  dvd partially missing sound
Posted by: bobmook - 2005-06-23, 01:22 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

OK I don't think this a GBPVR issue but there are so many sharp cookies here I thought I'd give it a shot. When I play a dvd in my gbpvr machine outputted to either my tv or surround speakers speech is at an incredibly low volume. I suspect I'm somehow getting 5.1 audio (or at least some of it) and the surround system is supposed to do it but I get mainly music and sound effects. (what's confusing to me is the when the sound is outputted to my tv the same thing happens, I would have thought it would have mixed it down)
Anyone out there who can assist?

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Any GOOD reports of the Theatrix 550 Pro in gbpvr?

Thinking of getting one of these, just to play with.
Am I in for more headaches than it's worth?

What is the .exe file that starts the GBPVR window?
Posted by: bajabronco - 2005-06-22, 09:22 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am running gbpvr, on windows XP sp2. I am using gridder with a Windows 2005 MCE remote. What I am trying to do is use one of the OS comands in gridder to open GBPVR, but I can not find the correct .exe file to open. What is the .exe file that I can open to launch the GBPVR window?

Mark
