Time Position in OSD in live tv
Posted by: reven - 2005-05-31, 09:34 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

sub i asked you for something like this in the prerelease but that was to do with the duration (i think). i would like say if a show starts at 6:30 and you dont start watching it to 6:42 the position in the osd starts at 0:00:00, it would make more sense if it started at 0:12:00. easier to tell how long until the show ends.

Web-based TV Guide/Schedule not working remotley
Posted by: cr4ig - 2005-05-31, 08:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hey Big Grin

Im having a bit of a problem with the web-based tv guide and recording scheduler, i can view the page by going to http://localhost:4747/gbpvr/index.aspx (i changed the port in a hope that it would fix it!) but when i type in http://my.ip:4747/gbpvr/index.aspx from a machine on the internet i cant view anything. I have port forwarding set up correctly (I have about 8 more rules which are identical and they work fine) Is there a simple way to get around this?

Cheers,

Craig

  My Videos 4.0.2.0
Posted by: reven - 2005-05-31, 04:50 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (4)

Ive fixed a few bugs and add a few more things to my videos

download here

- Edit button now for external players and virtual root in config (just for KingArgyle)
- Error message is now displayed to the user when failed to generate a thumbnail, instead of a weird error message most people wouldnt understand,
- Can play a playlist from the playlist root, ie push play on a playlist name/folder and it will play it, no need to have to enter the playlist
- If My Videos is disabled in the config, gbpvr wont crash when trying to go to live tv or playback a file now.
- If the skin you doesnt have a directory for "My Videos" it will use the blue skin (ill try improve this in the future to see if the skin supports the current version you are using and if it doesn use the blue skin).
- a few extra things

ok heres how my number system works (well how it works from now on)
[major change].[skin change].[small change].[minor change] so
from 3.1.0.0 to 4.0.0.0 is a major change
4.0.2.0 is a small change
and if i change anything in the skin the second number will increase, so next skin change wont occur until 4.1.x.

this way its easy for the skins to say "supports My Videos 4.0.x" Smile

i hope that makes sense..

  XRecord / CDKScheduler confilct ?
Posted by: RandyAdamsTN - 2005-05-31, 03:40 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I know Im doing something wrong, but can figure it out.

I have xrecord v27 from installer

I took and modified the sample PriorityRecordings.xml from the CDK wiki, which works fine. But when I save or modify an enrty using xrecord my PostUpdateEPG.bat will error out, at the new or modifyed enrty. It also seems to completely re-write my PriorityRecordings.xm file.

Its not hard to just add recordings using notepad, just cumbersome.

Any ideas?

Thanks

R

I've installed the program ,, after a little of buggering around with it , i've got the thing set up right to watch tv ,,listen to net radio ,, still playing with the fm ,, but whenever i'm in say jukebox , or one of the other settings , i don't have any "back" buttons ,,,or controls over the jukebox ,,,stop,ff,rew, play etc ,, am i missing something here ,,to get out of one screen and back to the main screens i have to hit esc.

Are there controls like this in the program ?? And i'm just using jukebox as an example.

Thanks to all

  Audio problems

I've found a couple channels (TBS and Discovery) that don't have sound while watching live TV. Do I have a setting set wrong somewhere maybe? I am using a Hauppauge 150 with a MediaMVP.

Faster processor or faster graphics card?
Posted by: djshawnee - 2005-05-30, 11:22 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (11)

Hey everyone.... I am currently building a new system and am on a tight budget. On this budget, I have to make tradeoffs, and I can either choose to get an 8x AGP slot, or a faster processor.

System 1:
AMD Duron 1.8 GHz, 266MHz FSB, 192KB Cache
8x AGP slot

System 2:
AMD Sempron 2800+ (2.0 GHz), 333MHz FSB, 256KB Cache
4x AGP slot

Everything else in the system will be the same: FX5200 graphics card, 512MB DDR, Hauppauge PVR150.

Which setup would be better suited for running GB-PVR? Will the 8x AGP slot help at all in GBPVR?

I can even go with a system that is an Duron 1.8 with a 4x AGP slot and this saves me even more money. Will this be sufficient?

Thanks for the help!
Shawn

I have a firefly PC remote and I want to get it to work with GBPVR. When I do that remote thing I put USB then click on 1 and press learn event and press the button and it does nothing. How do I fix this? Does anyone have a Firefly pc remote working with this?
