  Numeric keypad entry
Posted by: jturner9 - 2005-05-24, 12:41 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

I've been using WinTV for years. With GB-PVR I miss being able to use the numeric keypad to change channels. +/- or numbers and enter. It's just a different set of keycodes, right?

  PVR-250 recording problem
Posted by: yumchajai - 2005-05-23, 10:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am using a Hauppauge PVR-250. I am trying to record of a composite input(DirecTV Satellite).

Everytime I record, the files are not viewable and the file size is way too big.
e.g. a 1 minute recording is 800+ mb

I have no problem watching TV live, I just cannot get it to record.

Any suggesstions on what I should do?

Sapphire Theatrix interlacing and AV sync problems
Posted by: Blown 89 - 2005-05-23, 10:38 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have yet to find a program other than powerlesscinema that will sync the audio and video properly. I have yet to try recording anything using gbpvr as I only use it to view live TV through the breakout box.

I am also having a problem with horrible interlacing during movement. Changing the options in the control panel only freeze GPBVR or cause the video to go blank.

Any help, any at all, would be greatly appreciated. I've had this card for a month and have yet to get it to work.

Usefull Freeview Channels information for newbies
Posted by: Darkside - 2005-05-23, 10:04 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Usefull site for finding your local transmitter when tuning your DVB input source and location

http://www.wolfbane.com/cgi-bin/tvd.exe?

Will tell you your local transmitter station and help when scanning for channels (Scanning All Channels/All reigons can not help at times)
There is also a list of Analog channels as well if you need it

http://www.wolfbane.com/cgi-bin/tva.exe?

Hope this helps

For further info there is also the information on the UK freeview switchover (when Analog channels like analog BBC 1 are going to be switched off - dont panic got a few years left yet and time of post)

  2 strange problems??
Posted by: mpoling - 2005-05-23, 08:31 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi there!
I had GB PVR working 100% fine a while ago, but then needed to uninstall and reinstall. All hardware and software is the same as before, when it was working.
I am using GBPVR with the Software recorder and a WinTV Go card and latest versions of all the software, Incl. WDM drivers and video card drivers, which is the same as it was when the program was working.

The first problem is minor...when I use the VMR9 setting, the video appears upside down...if I use VMR7, I'm fine.

Second problem is more serious...The recorder does not work. It doesn't even try to record. It does create the directory for the recording on the hard drive, in preparation for the recording, but then does nothing. Live TV works as does the TV Listings.

I have attached the recording log file as I noted there was an error in there...can anyone tell me why and how to fix??
Thanks!
Mike

  More info in Live TV
Posted by: capone - 2005-05-23, 08:08 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

When you use the OSD for live tv info, or open the onscreen guide/description, it would be nice to see the numeric channel (in case you're using logos) and the current time.

Function to provide more info on playing video?
Posted by: markm - 2005-05-23, 07:04 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (3)

Is there a method to provide the type of information that's displayed when you play a recording?

If you play a recording, instead of seeing the filename on the OSD, you see the title, and description.

Is there a way to provide that information to gbpvr when you start playing a video from a plugin?

  PVR500 - Confilcts w/two recordings
Posted by: vwtom - 2005-05-23, 06:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Everything looks good...I can view Live TV. I can schedule recordings. I have set-up two sources.

But when I have 2 recording scheduled at once...I have "conflict" and it only records one.

Any help would be great.

  rectracker.exe
Posted by: Ant - 2005-05-23, 01:15 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi

I am having some problems getting rectracker to work. I have "rectracker -add %1" in my postprocessing.bat, but my rectracker .mdb is empty.

I have tried running rectracker manually to try to debug, but rectracker seems to want an oid, but I thought that GBPVR passed the full path of the recording to the batch file as %1. Passing the full path manually just gives error messages.

Any help much appreciated as always.

Cheers,

Ant
