Setting Up a VCR to act as a Second Source
Posted by: everson101 - 2005-05-21, 03:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Ok I finally got everything working, fm, tv, etc.

However I can not get a VCR to work. I hooked up the cable to my VCR input. And then from my VCR output it went to the tv tuner (Hauppauge 150MCE). I also plugged in the composite cables from the vcr to tv tuner.

I can watch TV fine however I have to switch the cables around to be able to use the vcr (vcr out to tv).

It does not work how I have it now because it work fine But when turn the vcr on all of the channels become scribbly which I expected. But when I change it to channel 3 (this is the default of vcr) it is just scribbly, and it does the same on every channel.

How can I get it so where the TV and VCR will both work at the same time? I have the MCE edition so it did not come with any software like WinTv.

  Change Recording Directory
Posted by: danrohlfing - 2005-05-21, 02:47 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi, I added a new drive to store my video recordings on, moved the existing videos, changed the defaults through the config program, but the old recordings don't show up on the menu. New recordings are available, but not the old ones I moved.

Something I'm forgetting to do?

  OSD when changing channels
Posted by: arkennedy75 - 2005-05-21, 12:32 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

When changing channels from the computer I get no OSD. When I move the mouse over GB-PVR the OSD displays with channel, show, etc. Is there a way to get the OSD to display every time the channel is changed?

Thanks for your help.

was having trouble with Intel PRO 100 VE on crossover cable To Mvp
G.U.I. Server Not found
remember reading about turning full duplex to half. tried numerous configurations.
the hardware was Intel PRO/100 VE onboard intel D845PESV motherboard
someone probably knows why just an f.y.i. incase anyone has trouble with
Intel PRO/100 VE or similiar.

while i was trying differnt things the mvp ran both gbpvr and btv on the mvp without having to do a thing on pc for instance start or stop services. didnt have to leave the sofa to toggle between the two i thought this was cool. Im pretty sure it only works when im using the mvp on the router.

Help Using FM RADIO with Hauppauge 150MCE + Win XP
Posted by: everson101 - 2005-05-20, 08:56 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have the Hauppauge 150MCE and am having trouble getting the fm to work with gb-pvr. I got the tv all set up including guide and installed lame. However when I go to listen to any station I program it says "No tuner was available to enable you to record the requested station".

Any ideas?

Thanks!
