Add an optional logging level that echos the SQL statements. I'm still trying to use MSDE and I'm running into a problem where scheduled programs are not being added to the list of reoccuring shows. Also, I'm adding a second video capture card and I'm have errors with the configuration. If I could see the SQL statements being run, I could probably figure out what changes I need to make.
I still haven't gotten things going again ... no file in the recording directory & timeshift mode live tv fails with "error playing back file" & the logs seem to say there is a problem connecting with the recording device but the wintv stuff works OK (at least with the one adapter it can work with)
I had tried remove all software added since before trouble started (didn't help) and also multiple uninstall & clean reinstall of both gbpvr and hauppauge drivers and apps. (didn't help). As one more diagnostic attempt I downloaded the trial copy of Snapstream Beyond TV & installed it - looking for a convergence of problems. It worked with no problem, recording from both pvr-150 cards simultaneously without a hitch.
Does this help shed any light on where the trouble may be coming from? I'd really prefer to stay with GBPVR and it's ability to work through the MediaMVP!
I appreciate any thoughts / comments / suggestions anyone may contribute.
Hi, I have recently installed GBPVR, and everything works splendidly except for one thing: I can't seem to playback recorded videos. When I playback the recorded video through gbpvr, it just stopps and returns me to the previous menu. However, if I hook up an monitor and play it there is works (nothing wrong with the file). I can record to a directory using gbpvr and play it in MCE 2005, but I rather use gbpvr for video playback as well.
Live TV works without problems, and so does music playback.
Is there a setting I have forgotten? A bug?
Relevant hardware:
TV Card: Sapphire Theatrix 550 (Cable in)
Video card: Leadtek 6600GT (TV out to tv)
OS: Windows XP Media Center 2005
I have installed the 3ivx filter suite on my PC and been able to play m4a formatted itunes mpegs using the "My Music" plugin in GBPVR.
I itunes playlist worked straight away as well.
Cant get these music files to play via MVP though! The little CD case pops up and the name of the tune but the counter never appears - in fact it really just hangs.
I read a little about the transcoding etc that MVP does to play Mpegs but I thought I had cracked it with the 3ivx Directshow audio decoders. Am I missing something here ? Is there a way to play these m4a formatted files via MVP?
What other options do I have if I cant ? Convert all my files using dbpoweramp? arrgh!
Can I convert my itune files on the fly before sending them to MVP?
I'm sorry for being such a pain but I cannot get the remote to work anything but WinTV.
It says in config "Fix Hauppauge 45 button and Fix Hauppauge 32 button" well my remote has 43 buttons. But i've tried each one with no success.
I wish the instructions were a little more clear on the wiki but its probably just me being DUMB
 The other day GB-PVR crashed hard on me for no reason. Iâm attempting to resolve it this time instead of reinstalling like the many times Iâve done in the past month or so since Iâve used it.
I opened up GB-PVR to watch some shows I had scheduled. Tried to go into Recordings and got this error.
âError: Unknown
OKâ
I couldnât click OK and the remote couldnât get me out so I used escape on the keyboard.
Went to Click LiveTv and I got this error.
âNo channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration Utility and setup the EPG source. Use the âUpdate EPGâ button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.â
Went to Click Guide and I got the same error.
I went into the Configuration Utility and my Source and EPG information was GONE OUT OF NOWHERE!!!
I added my Capture source / Zap2It information and I still get the same errors in GB-PVR
Also, a little unrelated but a problem nonetheless, a week ago I a scheduled recording was repeated like four hundred times and conflicting with each other. The show recorded but in the Recordings folder there were four hundred failed recordings and one available recording.
I was just going to remove GB-PVR and reinstall it but Iâm kind of fed up doing that and I actually want to troubleshoot the causes instead of delaying the problems.
I hope I added the right Error Log files. I don't know which ones are helpful
Hi All... I've been very happy with my GBPVR/Hauppage 250 setup... I've recorded the 6hr run of Dune, and a couple other SciFi channel shows... I had it set to record all of the BattleStar Galactica's, and it created a folder for BSG, but there's nothing in it... I just now noticed that when I check out the guide, and go to watch live tv, all I get is a black screen... nothing else.... I've not changed ANYTHING on my system in several months, and absolutely nothing between recording Dune and BSG... Only thing I'm not sure of is if the DTV box died, but I think I'd get something... if it's off upstairs, I get static... the PVR box displays nothing but black...
Would LOVE to have some kind of a clue as to what the heck it causing this...
When I try and get GBPVr going im getting the channel tuning not known. However why i do the following i get some strange errors about the card in my machine.
I select BDA Recoding Pluging and then select the Twinhan DVD-S
update the EPG
Map channels to the EPG and then i get the following error
GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is properly configured and not already in use.
Im sure its not in use so am I right in thinking i need some special drivers or something?
