  Create Own *.pls Files
Posted by: heitjer - 2005-05-19, 03:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

All,
so far I was able to fix all problems with the excellent help on this forum. Thanks.

I would like to listen to my favorite German radio stations but unfortunately they do not provide *.pls files. I was not able to convert their stream function into a *.pls using the standard format.

[playlist]
numberofentries=5
File1=http://b0f.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/a.mp4
Title1=
Length5=-1
Version=2

So I am wondering if someone in here can help.

For example I am trying to get this stream in Net Radio:

Website of Live Stream:
http://www.ndr2.de/pages_special_lib/0,,...r2,00.html

Stream Properties:
http://lsd.newmedia.tiscali-business.com...e/ndr2.wma

Any ideas?

  AVI playback on the PVR-350
Posted by: contro - 2005-05-19, 02:55 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (19)

I heard that there was someway to get GB-PVR to playback avi files by decoding them on the fly with a codec or plugin anyone have the name of this?

I have the PVR-350 connected to my TV.
Also music playback does not play on the tv but rather on my computers sound...any idea how i can get the music to play on my tv sound.

  Vertically striped image ?
Posted by: bjt3 - 2005-05-19, 02:52 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

I have a Hauppauge PVR150, and have been using it with GBPVR (0.91.12 and some prior versions) for a little while now. Overall, it's been great. I was watching TV the other night, when the image changed. Note that while I can imagine skepticism about this, I really wasn't doing anything other than watching. No software installs, no hardware changes, no reconfigs, nothing.

Anyhow, the picture changed such that it was vertically striped and the audio had noise in it. The striping was clearly portions of the video, just displaced. At first, I thought it was a signal issue. But, other programs (Hauppauge's WinTV2k and Media Portal) work just fine. In fact, GBPVR in timeshift mode also has no image quality problems. It's only in live preview mode.

To give an idea of what I'm talking about, I've attached two small jpeg screen captures indicating the issue (I hope).

So, I attempted to make some config changes to sort this out. I ended up removing GBPVR and reinstalling from scratch - no difference in the final result.

I'm baffled, and would love to hear some ideas/suggestions. I've grown to vastly prefer GBPVR over the other applications and would like to get it back to where it was.

Thanks,
-b

  No audio on a single channel
Posted by: urso - 2005-05-19, 01:57 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have the 150MCE working for 2 weeks now, on a win2K machine. Today I have no audio on cable channel 6 (Rogers, Ottawa). All other channels have audio fine, and cable 6 sounds fine on my TV.

This is a little bizarre, it's a single channel (but a popular one)... Can anyone give me any pointers on how to fix this?

Through my searches, I found others with sound problems, a few mentions of frequency tuning, edit registry, etc. I do not have WinTV installed, couldn't find the registry settings for the frequencies.

Thx.

  Recordings 'lost' after capture source update
Posted by: nia - 2005-05-18, 09:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi.

I have just been changing the capture source with dramatic consequences: I 'lost' all previously recorded recordings and all types of scheduled recordings :eek:

What I did was after changing from XMLTV to O2grabber I had some slight changes in the naming of some of the channels. Even after not enabling the 'old' chanels, I wasn't able to get rid of them in the capture sources list, and i did get som EPG problems with overlapping programme schedules that I suspected came from the almost identical channel names.

So I simply made a new capture source and removed the old one. BIG mistake! After this the list of ready recordings was empty as well as the pending recordings. Having a LOT of recordings from over ½ a year, this was a completely unexpected shock!

Are there any way to get the recordings back in the list, and what is the reason for this - to me - illogical behaviour? :confused:

I'm getting cable in a couple of weeks time, as well as I intend to put my second PVR350 into production, so it would be nice to know the workings of this part of the application before I get into any more trouble...

Anyway - courtesy of VideoArchive, I still have access to my recordings, so they are luckily not completely lost.

Rgds,
Niels

I have started using gbPVR for about a week, and I love it. What are the most popular plugin people here are using it to get more out of GBPVR?

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

Anyone have any suggestions?? This first happened when I was trying to change a skin.
