It would be great if the BDA engine supported DVB-C aswell.
I'm a silent lurker that have used your program with Hauppage 150 before, but now I've updated to a FireDTV DVB-C with CI.
It's just mediaportal that supports it's BDA drivers + the CI so far and that is not an option. It's a buggy, slow and resource hogging software!
I would be willing to allow remote debugging etc whenever you need to if you decide to add support for it.

Suddenly I can no longer record at all. As of last night, none of the scheduled recordings produced a file. Currently, neither scheduled recordings or manual recordings generate files. The directories to hold the recordings get created OK ... just nothing gets written. Live TV in GBPVR shows up OK, as does WinTV. The WinTV scheduler still works OK (I ran a short test) and produces a viewable file.

Up til now, things have been working fine. I have 2 PVR-150's installed in an XP box with tons of free disk space. This configuration had been running successfully for a few weeks now, recording from both cards simultaneously with no trouble.

I have tried re-installing, uninstalling & then deleting the original program directories prior to a clean re-install and there is no improvement.

Following the clean re-install GBPVR can see both tuners OK - I can have two windows open on Live TV viewing 2 different programs with no problem... but can't get a recording to write.

I have also removed and done a fresh re-installation of all the pvr-150 drivers and applications. I switched the GBPVR record-to directory to a different drive. Nothing has helped!

I really need some help getting this going again.

I had a problem with my machine a couple of days ago, so had to re-install the OS and GB-PVR. I've got it all running OK, but with a coupe of problems:

1. All the recordings I made are still there (on a different drive from the restored one), and while GB-PVR lists them under "Videos", it doesn't find them under "Recordings". I assume there's some set of data that GBPVR keeps about recordings - is there anyway to rebuild it from the directories and file names of the MPegs?

2. The size of the text is too big for all the buttons etc in the skins! I can't understand why this should suddenly go wrong - it was fine before. I could go through and edit the font sizes down, but it's a bit laborious, and I don't see why it's changed. Any ideas?

I've just installed Guide2J and it looks pretty good. However, what I liked in the old guide that came with GBPVR was that if I selected a show on TV at the moment, I had the option to watch it as live TV, and GBPVR went to LiveTV and set the channel. Is there any way to do this in Guide2J?

I've been using gb-pvr for about a month now, and I like it a lot. I recently wired my HTPC to my receiver and, unfortunately, I now cannot get sound out of my recorded tv shows.

I am fairly certain that the problem lies with my receiver, because when I play the recorded shows on another computer, the audio plays fine. Here is what is interesting: When I play live TV, my receiver decodes it just fine. The audio is still okay even after I've paused live TV and continued after a delay. But, when I go and open the same paused live TV stream with windows media player, zoom player or another player, I get no sound. I also get no sound when playing recorded TV shows through gb-pvr (or any other media player).

Like I said, I'm pretty sure that the problem lies with my receiver or possibly the sound card, but I'm wondering if there is a difference between the audio output from the Live TV player as opposed to the recorded TV player. I'm hoping I can use some knowledge from how the Live TV setup is configured to fix my problems. Can anyone tell me the differences between the Live TV player and the recorded TV player, if there are any?

I should note that I'm using the SPDIF output of a Chaintech AV-710 into a Harman AVR-630 receiver.

I have just completed my Athlon64/1Gig/80G machine with Haupauge 150 card, and it is working so far good using WinTV2K. I have installed GB-PVR, and I am able to make it work to watch live TV.

I want to know if anyone can tell that it can record commercial Free or not. I have not been able to find any definitive answer.

If using timeshiftingwhen watching a station, and then half way through the program, I decide I want to record the whole episode. Does the recording service grab as much of the show from the timeshifting buffer and prepend it to the recording?
