I've been looking into using XMLTV and some grabber software (this is all very new to me) and I'm wondering - how customized is the XMLTV file? In the grabber, it seems to only want my country - not my zip code, cable provider, etc. Will XMLTV include local channels and local programming information?
I put a new system drive in my machine, fresh install of XP etc. etc. Installed drivers for my capture cards and hcwsmd05.exe plus cypberlink mux. Installed 0.91.12b of GB-PVR, copied my config.xml and gbpvr.mdb back in.
Analogue recordings and LiveTV are fine - recordings on my Novas produce 0KB files and Live TV shows black screen and no audio. Rescanning digital channels give me 6 lots of the same channels, i.e., only those from one transmitter MUX repeated.
Just picked up the MVP today, everything is working perfectly except the remote (which is kinda important
Anyway, anyone else have any issues with the remote not responding? I can see when i hit any button on the remote that the MVP responds (LED flickers), but no response from either the Hauppauge software or GBPVR. It's driving me mad, i am praying someone has seen this before....?
I have a Sapphire Theatrix 550pro and when I watch live tv, the sound is out of sync, some times by over 1 second. Anyone know if there is some setting I need to change or something? Thanks.
I am considering adding the PVR USB version to my system which presently has the PVR350. Thanks to the forum I can now successfully wakeup the PVR350 when coming out of hibernate.
How about the USB version? Anyone out there know if I will experience any issues using this device when coming out of hibernate?
Howdy Guys,
Without much thought I ran dcpromo last night and moved my server to become master of my new domain. I had not given the MVP and GBPVR a thought when I did this otherwise I would have done my homework first. oops. I am feeling quite brain dead and I can't think of what I need to do to allow the MVP to start working again.
Anyone have any suggestions? This is on a Windows 2003 Server box. Thanks for your help, time, and consideration on this. Have a great day and take care
Sorry if the answer is somewhere here. I have tried searching, honest!
Can the MSNBC weather forecast be synced to my time zone (NZ) to prevent the forecast starting with yesterday? I am using the standard plugin. I have also told my XP to apply my time zone settings to all user accounts. Didn't make any difference.
Hi, I'm a noobie using a Sapphire Theatrix 550Pro with GBPVR and need some help.
1: I'd like to change the Manual Recording intervals from 10min to 5min or even 2 min. Is there a way to do this?
2: Can anyone show me the steps to getting GBPVR to recognize the Composite Input Dongle for the theatrix?
3: Does anyone know if the Wake-On-LAN feature on motherboards will allow me to turn on my computer from a different location (ex: from work), if so how do I go about setting this feature up?
4: How can I change the audio for a channel from stereo to SAP (It can be done from Powercinema but powercinema is crap)
Any suggestions or answers would be much appreciated.
I have GB-PVR working with the SoftwareRecorder plugin and an AverTV Studio card. The card comes with a remote control unit, which works fine with the Aver software (the software that came with the AverTV Studio card). But the remote control unit does nothing when I'm in GB-PVR. By the way, this remote control unit sends its signal to a sensor that plugs right into the AverTV Studio card.
I don't know enough about this technology to know what to try next. Any suggestions?
I am getting an error message (see attached picture 1 ) when trying to scroll past the beginning of the TV Guide. Something is wrong here.
After installation, the TV Guide (xmltv file) starts up fine (pic2). Then, I try to scroll up (or move the cursor up) although the guide is at the top already. Thats were the error message appears.
After that I cannot get into the TV guide anymore. The error will appear all the time now until I copy my config.xml file over again.
Also, another problem I found with the guide is at the end of the guide. As you can see in pic 3, two of the channels get repeated again and again (that goes on forever) at the very end of the guide without any channels.
Shouldn´t the guide go back to the beginning at the end ?
