I need to purchase a new video card with TV-Out to display GBPVR (Live TV) to my projector. I was using a Diamond S60 card and using a DVI-VGA adapter and the VGA input on my projector (Infocus X1 - 800x600). Was not really happy with the picture quality and the color was really greyed out (I did try to play with the control control and downloaded Powerstrip), just not acceptable. I know there must be a way to clean it up and make it worth watching, i just need to know how!

Suggestions (Currently looking at the Matrox G450 (dual VGA))? Anyone else using a video output to projector??

BTW, this is only used for PVR, no games.

As you know I am an avid MyMusic user. I know you do not have an MVP and its main design is for the PC. I have a couple of thoughts and requests which you may be able/want to help with.

Using the MVP with TV & a Remote does not feel very natural or intuitive to swap between the 3 MYMusic zones ie MenuButtons, Lists & Page up/down.

Because a lot of the functions are mapped to RC buttons I can very nearly get away with just using the detail zone.

For example, page up/down, Play All, Add to playlist, view etc have mapped buttons. Ideally it would be great if ALL the Menu Buttons had RC equivalents, however the ones that would be of most value would be Shuffle Playlist and view Current playlist.

Would this be possible?

I have experimented with the skin and with my widescreen TV can map 6 columns of regular Icon view by shrinking the MenuButtons to near invisibility(without you making prog changes).

Not saying this would definitely be how I used it, but, as I have over 300 albums, having the RC buttons would provide a hell of a lot of flexibility for us MVP MyMusic users.

Anyone try this w/ new 150 remote drivers? First it forced TV to open WinTV. I thought I got rid of those, then TV woulnd't do anything anymore.

I put my previous ini file in, and it worked fine, in case anyone else gets stuck and still has it.

I'm checking out the Net Radio, reliving my youth with the 80's music, and when I check my recording directory, it contains a huge (relatively) .mp3 of everything I've listened to on that station. If I stop Net Radio and restart again, the file resets and starts recording again.

Is there an option not to store the streamed mp3 file? Or does it reset after it gets to a certain size? I really don't need a large MP3 of what I have listened to all day.

Ever since I installed the lastest version, .91.11, my overlay is misaligned (see the picture below). I'm using a PVR350 and its built in video out. I've messed with the X and Y placement of the playback to get it full screen on my TV. Any ideas...its not horrible but it catches my eye each time since is so much brighter than the rest of the screen

Update posted at the wiki site. I have posted the updated help file and library as well as two source code examples. I have also updated and posted an updated weather plug-in (with source) that uses the library.

* Made the list of file extensions that should be treated as video files a configurable option. By default the list, which is case insensitive, contains mpg, mpeg, and avi.

* Added current time to the display. You will need to update the Preview View skin.xml and List View skin.xml skin files.

* Doubled the size of ratings field in the database to 20 characters from 10. This will be upgraded automatically when you use the plug-in

* Moved the processing of the VA panel messages into the CommonGBPVRUtilties library. This means that other plug-ins could, if they wanted to, display messages in this panel. As an example, the message processing for the “Now playing” music function has been moved into its own mini panel widget. You now need to place the MusicVAPanelWidget.dll library into the plugin directory. The weather plug-in has also been updated to display the forecast for the current and next day.

* Bug fix: Fixed bug in importing tagline, director name, and wrote names that contain apostrophes (') from My Videos database

* Bug fix: Fixed bug that could audio tracks to continue to show in the panel even after they had finished playing

* Bug fix: DVD2MPEG standalone button will no longer display if there are no DVDPaths defined

* Bug fix: Fixed bug that would cause the video archiver panel to display the next message in the queue whenever the main screen was redrawn. When using in combination with the RSS news feed panel this would result in new messages being displayed every second. New messages are now displayed at the rate specified by the config settings.

* Rewrote the skinning code to enable everything to be moved. Everything is now based on composite images. Additionally, none of the font names are hard coded in the plug-in any more so you can add, remove, or change fonts as you wish.

* Moved the configuration settings to the PluginSettings area of the config.xml file so that they will be retained across upgrades of GBPVR.

* The plug-in will now copy and use the skin file from the blue skin directory if a skin can not be found in the current skin directory.

* Added the option to display weather information on the Video Archiver panel. If selected, the forecast for the current day and the next day will be displayed.

* Note that the plug-in now requires that CommonGBPVRUtiltiies.dll be in the main GBPVR directory.
