  Fresh install without lossing EPG?
Posted by: sleptoor - 2005-03-31, 11:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I've had a lot of funny errors lately so I want to do a fresh install of 9.1.05. But I'd rather not redo my EPG and Channel setup...is there a quick way to do it or should I quit being lazy and start fresh?

  GB-PVR freezing
Posted by: miochza - 2005-03-31, 10:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

GB-PVR freezes after I am watching a channel on Timeshift mode, no matter what decoder I use. I have this setup:
Windows XP SP 2
P4 3.0 gHz HT, 256MB ATi Radeon 9800XT, 1 GB RAM, TEAC DVD+RW (DV-W58E), WinTV PVR 150MCE tuner, GB-PVR, 80 GB Main HD, 120 GB Video HD

I usually use the NVidia DVD Decoder, but even if I switch to the Intervideo Decoder, it still freezes...

  Wishlist: Streaming audio (not shoutcast)
Posted by: Jamesjtucker - 2005-03-31, 07:37 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

First off, great program. I went from mythtv > Mediaportal >gbpvr, and am very happy with it.
One of my (and the wife's) favorite things about mediaportal was the ability to play streaming audio, specifically Swedish radio stations p1, p2, p3, and p3 street. The shoutcast system works great, but we cant get these all-important stations via shoutcast. It seems to be almost trivial to play the streams from the direct link in gbpvr.
Im curious, is there no demand for such a feature, or are there some technical limitations that i cant see?

Living in the US, those radio stations are very important for my wife to keep up with news in her home country.

Thanks to all the devels and anyone who reads this.

  RenameRecording Update
Posted by: KingArgyle - 2005-03-31, 07:35 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - No Replies

RenameRecording has been updated on the Wiki.

http://www.bladerhq.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...eRecording

Basically, it is a utility that will rename a recording to a shows Subtitle name. This makes it easier to find a particular show when looking in the show's folder. If a subtitle is not found, the original name remains. This version has been updated to work with Comskip, and will rename the comskip files as well. Also, a few minor bugs have been fixed as well. Visit the wiki for more information.

Thanks go to ZaDDaZ for this updated version.

GBPVR - epg just stopped working
Posted by: onestar - 2005-03-31, 07:01 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Just reportiing.

Not doing anything with GBPVR, earlier had manually changed the channel, and that was it. Any came back and GBPVR output was frozen (not the program). But when I went into the EPG it said no channels setup. Config said yes there were, but GBPVR said no. Anyhow a reboot fixed it.

in the logs

oh and the DB went from 51mb before reboot to 120MB after the reboot.

Laptop does not go back into suspend after recording
Posted by: gordon - 2005-03-31, 06:49 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi,
Am using GBPVR on a P4 Toshiba Satellite connected to a plextor convertx box that receives a signal from a satellite box. Great program, even better now that I have 512 Mb installed. Everything works, except ........

If I program a timed recording and let the computer enter suspend, the computer wakes up and the program records but when the recording finishes, the computer stays on and will not go back into suspend. However, if I move the mouse a little, the computer will enter suspend correctly.

Cant see any strange processes running.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

GBPVR version is 9108

Loss of audio until channel change
Posted by: sub - 2005-03-31, 06:00 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (35)

I'm in the process of preparding another small maintenance release which fixes a couple of bugs. I want to include a fix for the reported 'loss of audio until channel change' that is affecting some people.

If you want this fixed, tell me about the problem here. Include information about your capture hardware.
