  FastForward Problem Stumped You All?
Posted by: GeneralElectric - 2005-04-01, 07:40 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

This is the first time I got no response at all to a prob. It's got me stumped...but that's not surprising. I'll ask one more time.....
Anybody know why my FF on the keyboard and remote causes a progressively greater "jump backward" in the program before it commences rather than FF'ing from the last viewing point? This never happens to anyone else? It happens everytime I FF a F*ing recording.

Thanks for any info.

  Start, Pause and/or Stop recordings
Posted by: Richard - 2005-04-01, 05:37 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Is there a way that I can start, pause and / or stop recordings without having GB-PVR open?

If not, this probably should be transferred to the wish list.

I am thinking of an icon that I can double click on the desktop that will start recording the current input into my capture device. And separate icons for pausing the current recording and a third icon to stop the recordings.

Even better would be the ability to right click the GB icon in the tray and be able to immediately start, pause or stop a recording.

  Cancel Recordings
Posted by: mikerm19 - 2005-04-01, 05:19 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I'm using v0.91.7. When I cancel a recording after it has already started, it clears it from the list, but it doesn't actually cancel the recording (after I hit cancel on it twice, it doesn't cancel the first time for some reason). I have restart the service manually (in the tray it is still green indicating recording, and I get the no tuner available message if I try live tv after cancelling).

The gpvr.exe log isn't showing much:
4/1/2005 12:00:34 AM.593 VERBOSE [2] Rendering MenuMenuTask
4/1/2005 12:00:34 AM.671 VERBOSE [2] Received event code: 14

Any ideas?

Guide2J - ability to show icon and number
Posted by: Richard - 2005-04-01, 04:55 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (4)

I have installed and setup the ChannelIconDownload, which I really like. However, I noticed that it does not display the channel numbers with the icon.

Would it be possible to have the option to show the icon and channel number at the same time? Ideally I would like to see a column with the channel number down the far left side before the icon.

  Demux/Remux Audio to AVI
Posted by: KingArgyle - 2005-04-01, 04:43 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

Okay, here is the question. Is there an easy way to Demux audio from an AVI file, upconvert to 48hz from 44.1hz, and then remux back into the AVI. I don't need to convert the video, just need to tweak the audio. Preferably I'd like a command line solution that I could put into a batch file.

Any help would be appreciated.

  Registry Settings
Posted by: KingArgyle - 2005-04-01, 04:37 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Anybody know if there are any registry settings that can be tweaked for the GO7007 WisChip set. Specifically, I'm looking for registry settings that control the audio output. Currently, when recording at least to AVI, it always defaults to 44.1, instead of 32000 or 48000 which would work better for playing on an external device.

Besides, I'd like to see if there are anyother tweaks that can be done as well.

Getting new error in Live preview mode
Posted by: Gunr - 2005-04-01, 04:08 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

For some reason tonight when running GBPVR on my computer ,that is the server, when I go to Live TV I get the following error on the screen.

Unable to load DLL
HcwIRblaster.dll

I have no idea what this is or means any help would be greatly appreciated. Everything use to work, just quit working kinda outta the blue.

If I uncheck use live preview mode and go to live TV. It enters timeshift mode and works.

I have searched all over and can find no reference of the DLL?

  old tv card...
Posted by: arlieyoung - 2005-04-01, 03:58 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

sorry if i posted this already..trying everywhere to get this to work with a dvr program.. but i really really like gb-pvr!! and i want to get my card to work with it, apparently it is a s/w card instead of h/w...maybe someone can help me

I'm just getting into the DVR scene. I have an older Hauppauge Card. Here's whats on the card and chip, etc.

Chip:

Bt Bt848KPF
Video Decoder
B43849.2
9736

Metal Box on Card(Decoder?):

WinCast/TV
NTSC
5611 RevE M2
*Copyright*1996 Hauppauge Computer Works

Ok, now that's said. I can successfully use the WinTv2000 App and the recording feature that comes with it. But I want a DVR, not just the ability to record. I can also capture video off of my camera with MovieMaker. (card has Coax and Composite Inputs). Now I successfully installed GB-PVR and got it all set up as well.(Channel listings and everything) The program runs and I see the listings, as wel as have the option to record shows. Thing is, I can't seem to get GB-PVR to cooperate with my card...

Perhaps a setting is wrong? Or maybe I just need different software? Like I said earlier, I'm just getting into the DVR world, so go easy on me Smile

All suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated!! Thanks again!

audio and video out of sync on channel change...
Posted by: miochza - 2005-04-01, 01:21 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

When I change the channel in LiveTV mode, the audio and video becomes out of sync, and exiting and coming back into LiveTV corrects the problem. This isn't in Timeshifting mode, I don't use that because it crashes when I exit it. I have a WinTV PVR-150MCE.

video problems toward end of recording
Posted by: Litespeed - 2005-04-01, 12:53 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I recorded a 1 hour show (antenna src) and for the last 7.5 minutes of the recording, the video was unwatchable. I was watching it on my TV so the reception was fine during recording.

I did have a show "butt" up against it and that recording was unwatchable. I scheduled the second show while the first one was recording. I left the padding default so could this be the problem ? The first show had a 2 minute post padding and the next show had a 1 minute pre pad.

Thanks,

-Tito
