I downloaded and installed CDK Sched, X Record, RecTracker today in an effort to beef up thew recoding ability of GB-PVR. I have a few questions that I am hoping someone can answer. By the way, kudos to the developers of these plugins, they are great.
1. How do I change Priority of a Scheudled recoridng without editing the .xml file through a text editor? Is there a way to do it through the GB-PVR app?
2. I set up a recoding using Scheduler through the XRecord plugin. I set up an Entry that would record Carnivale. Although the entry appears on Scheduler, it does not show up under Reoccuring or Pending. Is this because I have to wait until the epg is updated for my Scheduled recording to be validated?
3. Is there a way to search through the TV Guide portion of GB-PVR, find a show, then set ity up to record that show for all airings? For instance, I would find American Idol on the TV Guide, then click on that and somehow be able to click my way through setting up a season recording for that show. This quesiton is not as important to me as #1 and #2.

It seems that if the file has been deleted manually (as in not in GBPVR) GBPVR will automatically remove the file from the recordings list.
This i fine except for I occasionally remove the hard-drive that all these files are stored on and only remember to plug it in before going into gbpvr about half the time. Could there thus be an option to turn auto-delete off?
Just discovered gb-pvr and have to say pretty impressed.
Managed to get the following working
2 x Blackgold GDI (bda driver) simultaneosly. one records the other whatc program
1 x Twinhan DVB-s Card again with BDA driver (simultaneosly with the 2 DVB-t cards)
The mapping between xml epg and channel is one of the best around, pretty straight forward and works quite well.
Main strenght are hte stability of this software, pretty simple but functional.
One problem I currently have is that I can't cancel a scheduled recording once it has started. Anyone with the same problem?
Secondly I would love to see this program improved in its gui.
Keep up with the good work.
I know there seems to be some issues using the Live TV Preview (non-timeshift mode). Here is what is happening on my system. Just passing this info on to Sub.
First of all, I have an Avermedia m150 board.
In build 0.908, when I checked the Live TV Preview box, the live TV would work great, except that I got no sound. I tried all the other Live TV options (those produced error). Time shift TV works just fine.
In build 0.910, I now get "Object refernce not set to instance of object". All combinations of other options produces the same error. Time shift TV works fine.
Does anybody know if GB-PVR allows pattern based recording? Instead of a fixed episod name I would like to define a search critiera that automatically selects shows to record, e.g. "Eastwood" would record everything that contains Eastwood in the epsiode description or title. At the moment I'm using Webscheduler to do this kind of recordings, but would like to move to GB-PVR recording.
Can anyone tell me when or how to enable the 'Map digital channels to EPG channels' button in the 'Edit Recording Source' window ? Â I have a working tuner and have created a dummy Channel Changer exe to test it.
Hi all. I have got my multi tuner setup working real nice now. I play recorded stuff through my PVR350. However, I want to start playing DVD's and AVI's (divx etc). When I built the system I put in a ATI 7000 card that has TVOUT. This is OK except the picture is in black and white but looks OK though.
I have done some research and I think I need a "RGB to S-Video and Composite Video Convertor" from Maplin. I can get this for about £30. However I can buy a FX5200 for that!! What should I do?
Should I stick with the ATI 7000?
Should I get a FX5200? Do you think this would solve the problem?
I have an Xcard but the OSD looks crap and is slow changing channels even with the watsit unticked.
Here in Belgium, they have the annoying habbit to change the starting and end time of a show at the last moment. With the last moment I mean a few hours before the show starts.
Every night at 4AM I grab the xmltv listing for the next 7 days and import it in gbpvr. Every day at 4PM I grab the listing for only 1 day (today) to update the latest changes. This way I hope to avoid the problem.
But it isn't working. I get overlapping schedules.
I don't know if it's caused by the fact that at night it gets data for 7 days and during the day it only gets data for 1 day. It's obvious that I use the same xml file for the data.
I took some screenshots and attached it in a zipfile to my post.
Via NEro I've recoded a DVD to an MPEG4 file, I can play it on my PC but not via the my video plugin in GB-PVR.
What do I need to be able to view the files?
Sub, when does GB-PVR determine the next show to record? GB-PVR obviously determines which shows are in conflict, but does it set a timer when the next show is to be recorded, or does it poll the database?
I'm running GB-PVR on a MSDE database and I've put in an update trigger on RECORDING_SCHEDULE when the status is changed to 2, I queue the unique_identifier from PROGRAMME...
This allows me to collect a list of recorded shows. The next step I want to take is to add a trigger to remove repeat shows.
