Skin Change From Main Menu(Download Here)
Posted by: darrin75 - 2005-03-04, 07:34 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (8)

Heres a small exe. to change to the blueskin from the main menu.  Place this Blueskin.exe in you gbpvr directory.  Next you will need to create a Custom Task Plugin and point to the Blueskin.exe.  Name it whatever you want.  test this if people like it i can write some different ones.  This is just testing here.  Post suggestions feedback etc.  Try it i like it.  Comes in handy with MVP...

**Side Note**
If using with MVp make sure you have your autoserver set to 1.  So when it try to connect when it switches skins, it will come right up..

  Odd Behavior Of MVP/GB_PVR Server
Posted by: Landru - 2005-03-04, 02:40 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (8)

Well, I finally got the new machine up and running, and I'm listening to internet radio as I write this via GB-PVR. But.....

If I shut off the power to my MediaMVP via the remote, and later turn it on, it goes back to the standard MVP application. If I repeat the sequence, the GB-PVR MediaMVP server window quits, and I have to reboot the computer and unplug the MediaMVP.

Is this normal behavior, or do I have something funky in my setup. I did get the beta MVP software from the Hauppauge website.

Thanks!

  350 vs MVP
Posted by: zorro - 2005-03-04, 02:24 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (7)

I bought an xcard and used it for a while and then I returned it because I wasn't happy with the OSD quality and response.

Now I need to decide between 350 and MVP. 350 is pricey but I get another tuner. I'm debating whether I should buy 350 or an MVP + 150MCE

What do you recommend? Is the quality of MVP comparable to 350? I only care about Live TV, recordings, EPG and scheduling. I'm not much interested on other stuffs.

So, do I loose any native GBPVR functionality if I use MVP?

Thanks

  mute key not working
Posted by: lobo - 2005-03-03, 09:27 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

The mute key (45 button remote) does not work for the mvp when watching live tv or a recording.  However, the volume up and down keys do work.  I have tried the default mute setting in irremote.ini "MUTE=m" as well as trying "MUTE={app(0x80000)}".  Any ideas?  Thanks.

  Remote Control
Posted by: mobiusnz - 2005-03-03, 08:31 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

I can get a Shuttle IRDA remote control pretty cheap and it looks as if you can program GBPVR to work with (m)any? IR remotes. Is this true?

Also can I use the remote from my TV Walker Mini to control playback in GBPVR (I haven't taken it out of the box yet!!!Wink and can I get any software to use this remote to control Windows Media Player?[Image: rock.gif]

Currently my PC is behind a wall thats behind my lounge, I have a usb Hub in the lounge so I can plug in a USB remote sensor here or even move my TV Walker out to the lounge if required (assuming it works on a usb powered hub) but I'm trying to work out if I'm best investing in a Stuttle remote (Under my wifes Capex approval Limit Wink - try and push to let me buy a Firefly (or whatever the diamond multimedia Radio remote's called) or perhaps I can make do with the Walker one (I could program our universal remote to emulate it).

Any suggestions?

  Playback on computer monitor
Posted by: mhj.vermeer - 2005-03-03, 08:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I have installed GBPVR and it works fine. I can see everything using my Hauppauge 350 TV out. The problem is that i want to use my computer monitor to view my recordings and so. I tried every software setting possible, still no result. I have a AMD XP 2400+ and a NVIDIA FX 5200 with 128 MB of RAM. Someone has an idea.

  Niveus remote
Posted by: vladmen - 2005-03-03, 07:54 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

After doing some research I'm planning to get a Niveus remote ( http://store.niveusmedia.com/s.nl/sc.2/c....A/id.4/.f )which works with PC via RF and can work with regular components via IR. However I did not find any info on compatibility with GBPVR. Does anyone use it or tried it with GBPVR?

  Webserver Problem
Posted by: casperse - 2005-03-03, 06:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi

EDITED: (Please read later posts it seems to be a "webalias" problem!...)

I have two Netcards (The server is a bridge between my local net and the internet).

I know all about FW and NAT settings...

But no matter what it only works on the local IP adress 10.0.0.2 and not on the public IP....Is there a conf setting in GB-PVR that I can set?

Cheers
Casperse

Where can I get the CommonGBPVRUtilities?
Posted by: kthai - 2005-03-03, 03:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hello all,

The videoArchiver Plugin Feb-06-05VAPlugIn.zip version indicated that you need to install CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll in gbpvr directory. However, I could not find this CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll anywhere. Could someone please point me to the link where I can download a copy of this dll?

Thanks

KT
