with the new version, my mvp works a little bit curios:
I've 102 channels. For 25 channels, are no epg-data available.
When I'm watching these channels via mvp, gbpvr stops and restart the channel every 28 seconds.
The external tuner does not become a new channel, but in the mvp you can see the stop-symbol and one second later the play-symbol.
This happen's only on channels with no epg-data.
At every restart, the counter on the top goes from 28 back to 0.
How can I solve this problem ?
As turnaround, I could create dummy-epg-data :-) Is there any software that creates this and append to my xmltv ?

I have a disk library of DVD movies ripped and recorded with DVDShrink. Display of these movies with WinDVD or Windows Media Player via my Radeon 9600 Xcard is no problem, however, GB-PVR does not recgonize these files.Any idea why?My set-up is Asus P4P800, 2.8 G CPU, 1Gbyte Mem, Hauppage PVR150, Radeon 9600 256 Mb Xcard with TV-out & DVI, NEC LCD1760NX and Monster Soundcard.
Before Christmas I installed GBPVR version 0.2311 and the MVP worked "most" of the time - I had the once a week "looking for servers" screen. I then installed version 0.2313 and things got slightly worse, say 2 or 3 times a week.
Since i've installed 0.908 it's much worse. It mostly happens when watching videos, from any of the plugins including the supplied from sub ones. It can be a few minutes into a programme or more than an hour into a film. Having said that it can happen when playing music or viewing pictures but less frequently.
When it happens it looks for servers for several minutes but if I turn the MVP off then on it takes 10 seconds or so.
Over the past few days I have tried lots of things including some of the registry changes suggested in this forum. These are the registry changes I've made:
I resorted to putting the original hauppauge MVP software back on and it works well. It is like this now but I have to keep starting and stopping the MVP services to use the MVP.
I point the video directory to the recordings directory from GBPVR.
I've been using a Hauppauge PVR250 with GB-PVR for some time with excellent results and decided to expand my channels through adding the latest Hauppauge Nova-T PCI digital card. I've installed the latest drivers for both units and tuned in set them up in GB-PVR Config file ok. I even used the Tuning Asst to set up the analogue channels.
But . . . Using the 2 cards together somehow doesn't work and there's no live Tv preview anymore. Is this some sort of driver conflict?

Hi, now 0.9 runs. I have deleted some scheduled recordings and now I got the "unhandled exception"

everytime I go to "planned" (geplant) in Recordings.
The one thing (the only thing) in the original MVP Software from Hauppauge I liked was the 0 to 9 keys. Pressing 4 on the remote would jump to start playing 40% through the file, pressing 7 would jump to 70% - you get the idea. pressing 0 would jump to start from the beginning.
Is this difficult to achieve with both XRecord and My Videos?
Been doing a bit of wishlist thinking so what about:
1. Configure which menu items are available on screen from the skin.xml
2. Ability to remove playlist entries from a playlist. The wish is for playlist editing.
3. Pause indication on screen (if pause works)
4. I've heard in other posts of "previous", "stop", "play" buttons on screen - how do I get these.
5. Some MP3s dont play since I upgraded to PVR 0.908. they seem to play (counter on screen and increasing) but no sound.
6. Do the pause, fastforward and rewind keys work?
PS: Had a play with CTPVR because of its ability to have a client PC but it doesnt support MVP (which I am having problems with) but couldn't get it to config right, thinks like my IR Blaster so i'm back to GBPVR. I keep trying other things but keep coming back to this - is that good or bad?
EDIT: Just used the original "Music Library" and the non working tracks don't work there either so this is not a My Music specific issue
I was cleaning up my basement computer area yesterday, and found a Creative DXR2 DVD decoder card. It is PCI with VGA in and out, plus digital audio out, and svideo out. http://www2.skolor.pedc.se/augustenborg/.../extra.htm
Is this of any use in GBPVR? It's specs are 100mhz Pentium needed for DVD playback. It is a hardware mpeg 1 and mpeg2 decoder. I assume I can use it in a machine to playback the mpg files that GBPVR made, but I haven't tried it out yet.
I also found a ATI RageII PCI card with TV out. I might stick that in a machine for playback/testing.
I have just been watching a recording, and for the first time while using GBPVR, the sound has stopped during the recording. It is present up to 1/2 way through then nothing!
Has anyone else had this problem? I don't think it was the transmission because they usually put up visual indicators saying "Sorry for the lack of sound etc"
Also has anyone had a problem with recordings not being listed in the "Recordings" list after they have been recorded?
Does anyone happen to know what kind of affect on performance I should expect if I disable my hard disk's write cache in device manager? I've been recommended to disable it by other software I run on the same machine as GB-PVR in order to reduce the chance of data corruption if there's a power cut. I do get a lot of power cuts and can't really put a UPS next to the TV (mom acceptance factor).
I'm using a WinTV PVR 350.
