What can be done to improve / change the color scheme on the TV listings page?  The black background and white letters really blur on my TV set.  Is the configurable?

On a personal note: This is the best PVR software I have used to date.  I even tried SageTV and had many issues.  If this whole PVR project works out and withstands the abuse I expect my kids to give it, I will be donating to your cause Sub.  Great work.  Everyone.

I know this is a bit off-topic but does anyone know of a command-line utility to allow me to go into an mpeg file and extra a specific frame as a jpeg image?

I'm looking for something where I can pass it the filename of the mpeg file, a time or even a frame number and it will spit out a jpeg file for me to use. The thing is, it has to be completely command-line driven -- a GUI won't do here.

I've written a simple post-processing batch file that lets me know of the completion of recordings via e-mail while I'm away for extended periods of time. it would be cool to get a frame or two of jpeg from the video for no other reason than it would be neat.

If deleting recordings it won't delete comskip info of recording, but it would be nice if it does. Also if the last recording of the show has been deleted, it should also remove the show's directory.

Is there any possibility to record manually from Live TV? For example: I'm watching news from Live TV and there is one story which one I'd like preserve for future. It would be nice to press "RECORD" button on remote to start and again RECORD or STOP to end recording. Also OSD would be nice inicating that recording is currently in progress.

Is Live TV recording already implemented, if so, how to use it?

Here in Estonia, we have some channels on catv which have dual audio channels (M2) in program stream. If I record this channel and playback using external players on pc, I could choose which audio track I'd like to play (simply L or R). But in Live TV, for example watching Eurosport, I get english from left and german from right, yes I could plug out one of the loudspeakers, but don't you see it is a little bit annoying? ;-)

So, sub, is there going to be in future releases dual audio track support? Shouldn't be hard to code (for example the Yellow button?).

I was wondering if the Sweetspot card would work with gb-pvr, as the sweetspot card has something that I've found so hard to find - RGB input!

Is there a way to actually get this to record correctly when I want to record West Wing at 9:00? I tried entering it manually, but it doesn't seem right. Obviously I can't record the overlap, but it would be great if you could pick which show to record when they do overlap. Or just an "OK" start recording with out finishing the previous...

I remember reading a post about this but couldn't find it.

GBPVR seems to use a TON of memory.
Right now (during channel update)
config.exe 113 meg
GBPVR 30 meg
recording service 27 meg.

and sitting idle, it is over 100 meg.

Plus it seems to hang for about a minute after altering/viewing recording schedules. I mainly use my MVP with it, but the same thing happens when viewing locally.

I have a little problem and wonder, if somebody has an idea how to solve it: I would like to schedule recordings via the web, but I am running GBPVR on a workstation, which is connected to the Internet through Windows-Internet-Connection-Sharing. The gbpvr-workstation gets it's private IP from another Workstation which is connected directly to the Internet. I can access the GBPVR-http-server nicecly from the computers of the home-network, and I can access the workstation which functions as a router via a dyndns-domain-name. Is there any way (e.g. through the Windows-firewall) to make the gbpvr-Webserver accessible through the dyndns-address? (Dyndns only sees the IP of the workstation functioning as router)
