I have recorded ppv movies before and had no problem. I just updated to the .13 release and set up the system to record a ppv movie. It recorded something and labeled it as the movie I set to record but the video is horrible - almost like I didn't order the item. We watched the first part of the movie on our regular cable box and it came in fine so the order was processed alright. Any ideas what may have happened here?

I think this would be the feature that would really put this program over the top! Allow the user to select the programs that have been recorded that they wish to burn. (Maybe even a "Delete after burn" option)

Anybody else think that would be cool? (Do i even have to ask that? )

in this forum, are some discussions about a gbpvr-pc-client. My idea is not a gbpvr-client. I think a simple media-mvp-client for pc should be possible.
Does anyone know about a software like this, or do I have to create this software by myself ?

So I could use gbpvr with my wireless notebook while taking a bath :-)

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I'm sure it is a permissions problem, but I have been unable to fix it yet. I have audio/video files located on one computer(server) and GBPVR running on a different computer(remote). When I run GBPVR locally on the remote all of the shared file appear fine. When I us a MVP I can not access the shared files (this is when the MVP servers were started by GBPVR). If I start MVP server manually it works fine. I did notice that when MVP was started by GBPVR it was running as the system user account, and when I started manully it was using my local user account. I have been all over the permissions on both computers but I can not figure out how to make it work correctly.

I suggest Sub assigns a few willing but knowledgable forum members to assist him moderating the forums.

I also suggest a small redesign the forum page, took me several of weeks to find that link to the Search function...

Family is all you got, Sub! They (or you) could be gone tomorrow and then you would regret not spending time with them.

Another suggestion could be to involve one or two more experienced plugin writers in the core development. Sub, you cannot do evrything by yourself even if you want that. You cant win em all.

I am not a GB-PVR user, haven't even tried it since I require DVB card support, but I think I still can imagine the effort Sub is putting into this and I will donate the day I start using GB-PVR.

I hope everyone else does that too!

thought i asked, low priority just kinda cool i thought, how about a onscreen menu. i mean like over the top of live video/recordings, just like on a normal tv when you press menu. or on a computer monitor, things like contrast, brightness, volume, aspect ratio (once it gets implemented) etc. just a nice feature i saw in beyondtv, well the only nice feature i saw in beyondtv (and quick channel changing, the rest was rubbish).

oh and volume control, i never could get this to go, im not sure if you can get it to go. but just using volume up/down and mute never works, it worked at one stage i think but no joy anymore. well it does for music files but thats it.

Okay, after banging my head against a brick wall for the last 3 hours, I finally gave up and just coded my Insert Statement manually. Here's the question.

Can somebody post some working OleDB code for .NET that actually sets the values for a Prepared Statement's Parameters. Should have been as simple as defining the variables in the Insert string, setting the variables, and executing the prepare. However, the Parm.Value never takes, it is always Null.

Anyway, I'd rather use the Prepare than hard coding the insert string, because right now it only works on MSDE or a database that supports the CAST statement (Access doesn't).

mpeg audio channel 1 to channel 2 ...anybody know how to do this..What program. I have some dvds that are mono mpeg audio channel 1 i would like to convert so that gb-pvr running with mvp would play it...

i was wondering if i can just use the pvr-350s output and the osd will come up with out useing the mvp device
