During initial setup of GBPVR, I made some test manual recordings. I may have deleted them by hand or something, I don't remember. They don't show up in the GBPVR interface, but on the Web interface they show up as:

Is there a way to get rid of these?

Have just installed a PVR350. Hauppauge WinTV 2000 works fine with both on-monitor and PVR's TV output.

When I run GBPVR it seems to recognise the board but there is no output, either on the monitor or the PVR TV-out.

The hardware decoder device is set to PVR 350 in "playback". On Win XP SP2 + .NET 1.1 and DirectX 9.0b.

Suggestions?

The text is no longer at the bottom now uses a popup so I have more display real estate to play with.

Expanded the list box from 5 to 19. So you can see more.

Works with wiki better and I have added some netflix feeds to the default feed list.

Not sure if this is the right section, please move this if it's int he wrong spot.

Is it possible to have GB-PVR work with the Z400? If not, what would be involved in making it work?

I have a widescreen tv using PVR-350 tv out.
I access my sky tv via the PVR-350 tuner. Sky is set to output widescreen signals.
Is there a way to tell GBPVR that the input is widescreen and to display the output in widescreen?
even better, can GBPVR work out that some channels are 4:3 and some are 16:9, and auto swtich, much like my tv does when I feed it from the digibox via a scart.
I'm confused as no one on the forums seems to say anything about widescreen problems, so maybe I just haven't seen a menu somewhere.
But I cant get GBPVR to output in widescreen; it always assumes its a 4:3 tv.

Hi folks,

I'm hoping maybe you guys can help me. I was one of the folks who early on had an eHome Wonder installed in a EPIA 800Mhz board. I think I helped supply some of the GraphEdit links for the ATI board, as it was pretty new.

Anyways, I'm really happy to see GBPVR now has support for the eHome configuration, but after finally fixing up my hardware, I've found the eHome isn't giving me any trouble, it's the rest of the system

The configuration:

Intel D810E2CA3 motherboard w/P3 733Mhz CPU
256MB RAM (PC133)
ATI Rage Pro PCI w/Video Out (Onboard video disabled)
ATI eHome Wonder
Maxtor 20GB 7200 RPM disk
Windows XP Pro, with .NET runtime, DirectX 9C

I understand this is a minimal configuration, but my goal is to be able to record and playback like a glorified VCR. A remotely settable, 20 hours at low quality, networkable VCR. The PVR features (pausing live TV, rewinding live TV) aren't really important for me right now.

The system seems to download the EPG without problem, and record just fine. In fact, this works perfectly. CPU load while recording is roughly 5-8% and the files can be viewed on another computer.

With no activity, the system has about 67MB free physical memory.

The problem is playing video back. When I playback a TV show, it plays for a few seconds, but the minute I wiggle the mouse, it seems to crash (Windows reports GBPVR is trying to shutdown and I get a dialog).

I'm using the Cyberlink 5.0 decoder. Using Cyberlink itself is no problem, it plays back the record show files without trouble. With GBPVR off, the playback CPU utilization is 60-70% and there's no trouble.

The video card is a PCI Rage Pro with has a video output. It is using the stock embedded Microsoft Rage Pro driver for XP, which is recommended by ATI.

I've tried a few settings, including the using VMR9 and Overlay for playback.

Any ideas as to why the program is crashing? Is it the old video card? Lack of CPU power? Misconfiguration?

I didn't see it in the list for the compatable cards, but a lot of people seem to use it and like. Also, what's the difference b/w the MCE version and the non-MCE version... and where can I find the non-MCE version?

I don't know if this is a bug, an over sight or a wish-list item, but I recall reading elsewhere that GBPVR will not record duplicate shows when recording is set to Record Season.

However, I am seeing duplicates. Also, if I delete a show, it gets re-recorded as well...

I'm using Zap2It data and v0.23.13.

I can't seem to get my ahanix Imon remote control configured to work for Gbpvr. Can anyone tell me how/if this is possible?

Also having trouble opening recorded tv as it usually freezes Gbpvr. I can open the recordings if I go into c/program files/gbpv/...etc and open it in windows media player, but if I try and play them while in Gbpvr, it freezes the ap.... any ideas?

btw I plan to donate once I get these two problems solved.

Just got a laptop so instead of selling my desktop I'm going to make it into a HTPC.  What I'd like to do run the video from the GeForce FX5200 S-video to my TV (55" HDTV widescreen) and skip the monitor.  If I need to use a monitor to get the OS and stuff setup that's no big deal.

I just want to be able to schedule recordings from my DishNetwork (I understand that I will need to also schedule my receiver to change to the correct channel), move my old VCR tapes to DVD, play DVDs, and do the pause/reply thing for live TV.

I have....
Athlon 2400+ (currently running at 3200+ speed)
512MB PC3200
80GB hard drive (have another if needed)
NEC DVD-+RW
Albatron GeForce FX5200
Sound Blaster Audigy2 (don't recall model)
Will get Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-250 (model 980) Unless someone thinks this is a bad idea (cost will be $125)

Sound like I'm on the right track?
