Can't get two cards to work
Posted by: zed - 2004-12-09, 02:28 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I added a second PVR-150 to my system but can't seem to get them both to work. Either by itself will work, so both are good. When I try to configure them, the second one won't show any channel info in the EPG window. even tho the epg download seems to work...at least it doesn't error out. I have both pointed to the same epg account on zap2it. I have tried them both as capture device #1 and with them as #1 and #2...same result. When I have a recording running and try to access live tv, I get the "No capture source available to enable you to watch the requested channel" error msg. I assume that's because there's no channel info for the second card.

Is there anything special I need to configure?

Thanks...

  memory issues and images
Posted by: reven - 2004-12-09, 01:45 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (7)

im still at uni, so forgive me if this is a silly question, i have an arraylist of a class i created, in this class there are a few images assoicated with it.
this arraylist changes each time a user changes a directory. and i simple use
currentDirectory = new FileDetails() (the arraylist).

should i before calling that, dispose every single image with image.dispose() or would a ~FileDetails() method be called and i could dispose the images in there, or would this make no difference in the memory and just leave it as it is?

  DVD Button On MediaMVP
Posted by: danb - 2004-12-09, 01:03 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (5)

So, I've got the new version 2.3.11 and I'm not able to see the DVD button through the MediaMVP. Is this a known issue, my issue, or am I missing something silly.

I thought I read that the new version was supposed to take care of this bug.

If you can post the path to the log file you need for troubleshooting I'll post it ASAP.

btw - the <task> entry for DVD is there in the config file.

thanks

  Remote Desktop
Posted by: Guest - 2004-12-09, 12:23 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hello,

Thanks for a great program!

I have 2 questions.
1. I travel alot and use remote desktop to access my home computer which has PVR 150, 250mce to record my programs.
I am unable to schedule GBPVR 2.38 to record programs through remote desktop. Is there a registry entry or .ini file that I would be able to eddit to accomplish this? I've read some things about Web Scheduling but don't know anything about it. Is this what I need to use?

2. I can post messages, but I am unable to post a reply to my messages to say thanks or anything else. Does anybody have any suggestions.

Thanks in advance,
Rick

  unable to delete booked recordings
Posted by: reven - 2004-12-09, 12:22 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

i think my computer may have been off, or restarting when a booked recording was suppose to come on, and so it failed. but it stilled booked and showing up under pending recordings, and i cant delete it, and now every program that was supposse to record between then and now also have not recorded and i cant delete them either.  i tried to delete one when it was suppose to be recording and it cause gbpvr to crash.  any way i can remove these from the pending list?

after posting this message i thought id try a restart, that fixed it. never happened in gbpvr before, i think it might just have been a freak occurance.

ver .2311 small issues, we are almost there.
Posted by: xsherlock - 2004-12-08, 10:33 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Sub, Great software very minor tweaks are needed to make final for me, and generaly girlfriend proof.

.2311 is finaly working stable with pvr350 tv-out on my configuration so some issues might be related to the pvr350 tvout code.

Also i have no EPG im my country.

1) weekly manual recording is not recording (daily and record once work) stil this is a show stoper for no EPG users.

1a) In manual recording settings channel selections is somehow slow (especialy on PVR350 tvout) Could you add, display of the channel number before name, posibility to move by 5 channels with yellow/blue and/or selection of channel # with number keys. Hour selection could have a cursor position

2)top time bar is always show 00.xx (xx stand for numer of minutes past curent hour) on the left and 1.00 (full hour) Couldn't it show progres in the current hour with the hour time
on 8.36 pm it should be 8.36 on the left and 9.00 pm on the right - Is that due to the lack of the EPG? could OSD be skinnable?

3) recording of the live tv is not there. presing record should archive the current buffered tv up to the stop button presed or leaving the channell. In .2311 pressing record displays recording osd but not dooing anything, is that expected?

4) in 238 the presing numbers displayed them in the right bottom corner and let confirm that with OK for channel selection. in 2311 its not there! or this is PVR350 tvout?

5)OSD on pvr350 tvout is left 1 cm, showing uncovered tv on the, not that important but

  Recording error
Posted by: jboeren - 2004-12-08, 09:22 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi,
I have a pvr250 and a pvr350 and 2 media mvp's connected. First I had 2 capture devices; one for the 250 and one for the 350. Now I have added a third device being the svideo-input on the pvr250 to record programs from the dvb-s receiver. gbpvr nows thinks that i have 3 recording tuners so allowing me to make 3 recordings at the same time. however a pvr-card can do only one job. The result is one recording with length zero.
how can i solve this

AVI / DivX / Xvid support
Posted by: Rae - 2004-12-08, 08:38 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Hi all,

I bought an MVP today and... well.. the software that comes with it is shocking! much prefer this GB-PVR software and all its features/plugins....

onto the much sought-after: i have read many people still using the Hauppage software because of its (very, very) poor Avi / DivX/Xvid support... surely with a bit of time (and effort!!Wink it could / could it be integrated into GB-PVR? [Image: rock.gif]

If anyone has some pointers, or if im stupid and this has been covered, let me know!!
