  Ahanix iMon Profile?
Posted by: Daks - 2004-10-31, 11:44 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

Anyone have a profile to import for controlling GBPVR with an Ahanix iMon remote (using Ahanix's software)? I've played with it a little, but haven't been able to figure out a control scheme that I really like.

By the way, just want to give a big pat on the back to Sub. This application is great! A donation is imminent. [Image: smile.gif]

  S Video in for PVR350
Posted by: bishop - 2004-10-31, 11:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have just installed a PVR350 and connected it to my sky digibox. When I connect to the RF out I can scan and pick up all the channels and I get a average picture however whan I connect to S Video in I get nothing. My Sky box has a scart output so I am using a scart to svideo cable. Maybe this is the problem, maybe this doesn't give a true s video source. On WINTV 2000 I can scan the tuner but not the s video input. Any ideas?

No Sound recordind with LifeView TV Walker Ultra
Posted by: Guacho - 2004-10-31, 08:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I'm new user of GB-PVR.
I have a LifeView TV Walker Ultra.
I can watch LIVE TV ok, the problem is when I record.
The image is ok, but I hve no sound.

This is the error when I try to play with media player clasic:

Stream 1
AVI Splitter
ACM Wrapper

Media Type 0:

AM_MEDIA_TYPE:
majortype: MEDIATYPE_Audio {73647561-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71}

formattype: FORMAT_WaveFormatEx {05589F81-C356-11CE-BF01-00AA0055595A}

wFormatTag: 0x0001
nChannels: 2
nSamplesPerSec: 32000
nAvgBytesPerSec: 128000
nBlockAlign: 4
wBitsPerSample: 0

In GSPOT the audio codec tell me:

PCM Audio MPEG-1 Layer 2

When I try to render have the following error:

Failed to connect to Output Pin 0x00a493ec ("Stream 01&quotWink on AVI Splitter to Input Pin 0x00a29cfc ("Audio Input pin (rendered)&quotWink on filter 0x019a79a0 ("Default Direct Sound Device&quotWink, ConnectDirect() failed. Error 0x8004025c: Cannot playback the audio stream: the audio format is not supported.

Anyone knows how to fix this.

I love to get this working so I could rec without watching the picture, and get only 10% of cpu load at 720x576 Pal divx capture.
If I do it in Live TV the load get up to 75% of cpu.

Thanks.

Guacho.

New DVD2MPEG and Video Archiver Plugins
Posted by: sub - 2004-10-31, 04:27 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (112)

I've just uploaded two of Jeffs new plugins to the plugins page. We now have a DVD2MPEG plugin which I'm sure will be greatly appreciated by MVP and PVR350 owner wanting to watch DVDs. We've also got Video Archiver plugin for managing recordings, and archiving off to the video library when required.

Here is a link to a PDF explaining this cool new plugins:

  .bat as a custom task
Posted by: Remco - 2004-10-31, 02:22 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (4)

As a custom task in the plugin-list; currently only executables are allowed. Why isn't it possible to select a .bat-file?

BTW: Great job Sub! GBPVR does it's job perfectly!

  XMLTV
Posted by: Jean-Christophe - 2004-10-31, 01:28 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hello,

I don't know how XML works, but, I guess the first line "encoding..." says what character set are used.

My problem is that the XML grabber I use gives me a file that contains a "é".

"EPG update" stops reading the file at this point and gives me an error.

How can I correct this ti allow EPG to display "é" for instance.

Thanks a lot

PS: I'm not sure thers is no other "special" character.

  LCD Plugin
Posted by: tybreizh29 - 2004-10-31, 11:20 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (4)

Hi,
I did a plugin, it's in alpha stage. Works fine when playing
mp3 files, display not finished for video and normal state.
the LCD has to be plugged on COM1 (Read README to change it to something else)
When playing mp3 (should work when playing videos):
Line 1 : display author + title, LCD moving like in Winamp
Line 2 : time, mp3 position, mp3 length

When doing nothing:
LIne 1 : date time
Line 2 : programs recorded : name+ time stop

you can download the dlls(no source by now)
LCD Plugin download

One dll has to go into plugin directory "Test.dll"
The other one "BzhLCD.dll" into gbpvr directory.

Thanks for reporting bugs or improvements.

A thanks to Jan and sub for their help.

Hope this plugin will be usefull. [Image: smile.gif]

  Cable + Terrestrial on RF
Posted by: nutsaboutfilberts - 2004-10-30, 05:42 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Another noob who couldn't find the answer among the many posts.

I distribute my terrestrial signals, and my cable signal around my house over a regular RF coaxial cable. I have GB-PVR setup at the moment to access the terrestrial channels only. However, I want to add the facility to record the cable shows on different channels ( e.g. Sky One, then MTV, then CBBC). I already have a USB UIRT to switch the channels when needed.

My issue, is how do I set up my PVR 350 so that it will change channels on the set top box for cable, but use the terrestrial signals for the other 5 channels (rather than engaging the set top box on a terrestrial channel) - all through one RF connection ? Or is my only option to set it up through the S video - a potential problem, given that my HTPC is 30 feet away from my set top box, and in another room ?

Thanks for your help - and particular thanks to sub for what appears to be a brilliant program - my wife thinks I'm a genius, and I've still only got it half working Wink
