I read this same problem a while back, and it started to happen to me also:
A recording show used to work fine, then recently I tried to make Season Pass again and it refuses.. Only one show showing this" Daily Show with John Stewart.
Other shows are recording fine..

Any idea why this is happening? and how to resolve it?

By the way, I am running GB-PVR v214

Hi Folks,

I can manually Hibernate my GBPVR PC (I've configured Power Options so that pressing the power button hibernates), and GBPVR does wake up from Hibernation to record shows.

However, despite setting the power options to Hibernate after a period of inactivity, it never does this. I can leave the PC on overnight, with the GBPVR GUI closed and just the recording service active, and next morning it still has not gone into Hibernation.

Is there any trick to this? Is there anything I need to do in GBPVR to enable Hibernation?

Second I'm totaly sure I read somewhere what keys to press in the keyboard verses which keys to press on the Hauppuage remote. And what the keys does.

Okay. I downloaded and configured GB-PVR on my computer. Now I want to use the application on my Media MVP. Do I need to disable/uninstall the Hauppauge software? I see that you need to have the GB server open which I do. What exctly do I need to do so that I won't see the Hauppauge GUI, but rather the GB-PVR?

I have dabbled with tv capture before and the quality was poor, i can only imagine that the quality has improved a lot. i am looking to purchase a new tv card with "freeview" DVB Channels and would like it to be compatable with GB-PVR
Could you suggest Which supported card is the best, Which card did you use for the red cap screen shoot, and in the tv guide there are digital channels which card did you use for this as i would like to record digital channels on "Freeview"?

Is anyone using the ATI Remote Wonder with GB-PVR?

Does anyone have an ATI plug-in created for this remote? I tried to get the Girder Plug-in to work but GB-PVR would not respond. I could see that the remote signals were getting to Girder.

Any help would be great!

just wondering if anyone's had a similar problem with a Hauppauge pvr-350 card to me, and more importantly, has managed to fix it!

The problem is that the card gets more and more out of sync with real time the longer it's used - I realise there always has to be a buffer between the live TV signal and what's shown through the PVR application, but it "loses" about a second of time for every 2 minutes the application is running - i.e. after a couple of hours, the displayed picture is out of sync with reality by a full minute - obviously this is fairly useless in terms of trying to schedule recordings a few days away. And even in "live TV mode", you can fairly quickly work out something's up - changing the channel on my cable box takes ages to actually happen through the PVR.

Anyway, this problem exists outside of GB-PVR insofar as it does the same thing in SageTV and Hauppauge's own WinTV2000 application, but I thought I'd ask on here, as there seems to be a fair amount of knowledge of this card.

I've been thinking about this for a while now and it could be very easy to impliment a parallel port control of all the features in GBPvr.

This would allow the electronics people like me to build interfaces to control GBPvr without needing to worry about the software side of things for home entertainment systems.

Without going into too much detail, we could use the 8 data lines for outputs to strobe 5 input lines giving us a 5x8 matrix (with 8 diodes to prevent any ports getting damaged). This would give us the ability to control up to 40 functions using switches or optoisolators.

A unit could be built for less than $20 with the 40 switches and components etc or you could use RF telemetry to make your own remote control.

I would like to see GBPvr being able to remap any of these switches to control any of the functions within the software.

Things I would especially like to see as an addon to this are i.e.

Switch 1 = instant recording of composite 1 until switch 1 is released - this would allow UK users with SKY Digiboxes to automatically start recording from the composite input when the box goes into autoview mode. The sky box outputs a voltage on one of the scart pins when an autoview program is selected and watched.

Switch 2 (or more switches) = timelapse recording from input x - this would be useful for security applications

A general time lapse option to record x frames per second between certain times (with programs given priority for recording) - we've had 10 cars vandalised down our street in the past month or so and it would be nice to use the slack time on GBPvr to record the goings on

Thats all off the top of my head - any comments on the above ?

What I have seen so far of GBPVR it is (to be) a great program (guide, recording etc.).
I have a Hauppauge pvr 350 in my Pundit-R.
The problem I am having is that certain dutch channels are not tuned correctly. I used the TuningAssistent which gives me the numbers necessary. But 5 channels or so are just a bit more or less these numbers, resulting in only images and no sound. (for the dutch among us: I live in Rotterdam and this is happening to RTL4, RTL5, Veronica, Discovery, TV5).

Is this a hardware problem with the pvr 350 or can I adjust something in GBPVR/Windows? In case of thelatter, will GBPVR have a fine-tuning possibility in the future? Or the option to enter frequencies (as displayed by TuningAssistant) instead of channel numbers?

Any help is appreciated.
