OK I've always had this oddity, but its only just annoyed me enough to post about it. Whatever channel I'm watching at the top of the screen (about the top 1/6) I get white lines appearing and disappearing almost as if they were static. If there is picture there (i.e. no letterbox) then they are less noticeable and seem to be somewhat coloured by the image there. I'm almost sure its not static for two reasons. Firstly, I've recently moved and still get the same issue. Secondly, it doesn't happen with other tv apps.
I'm having some problems with tuning some of my channels. One of them is the swedish channel 5 which, according to my tv, is located @ ch92. But when I set the channel number to this, all I get is static. I presume that my frequency setting of ch92 in windows is not the same as the one channel 5 is broadcasting to.
I experience the same problem with most other tv-applications, except ShowShifter but my trial of that program has expired and therefore I cannot see the exakt frequency of my channel...
It would be great to have bookmarks in recordings.
At least one automatic to skip forward to it when playing a recording again to the point the user has stoped last time.
I have a Windows XP, SP1 system with a Hauppauge PVR-350. It is connected to my Sony Satellite system (DirecTV).The Live TV Works and other features (With Exception of FM Radio). However, I can't get the Silver Remote working. It works in the WinTV 2000 application, I also have a Serial Cable connected to the SAT receiver.
Where and how do I set up the remote so I can stop using this extra monitor and keyboard?
Although I think I set it up properly, each time I try to update EPG I am told it;s not configured correctly. I'm using Zap2it and am resgisterd and can login. Am I missing something?
TIA
I guess you'll take a rest first, but when you start collecting issues again, I have the following (not sure wether they are general or specific to my system):
- two helper-aps don't work: the tuning-assistant and the custom-button generator
- net radio doesn't work
I'm a little surprised that GB PVR doesn't support this rather widespread TV card. Yes, it lacks hardware MPEG 2 encoding, but personally I'd be happy using divx encoding done by my CPU instead - I currently do this with ShowShifter however I'm not too happy with it as it's slow and clunky. In contrast GBPVR looks great.
Am I missing something? If this is a planned feature, then great, but I'd be curious to know either way.
With the new version, the video zoom is now working, so I can stretch the display so it is at the proper overscan settings, but it also stretches the OSD & mini-guide to where they are off the screen.
Are there any settings to resize or offset the OSD seperate from the video?
I'm using a Hauppauge 350 in software mode with Intervideo Non-CSS decoder and was wondering if it's possible to use FFDSHOW post-processing with the playback. I installed it, and changed some options but I don't think it's doing anything. I also enabled FFDSHOW support in the GB-PVR config.
