Or does it work with ANY multi function remote such as the FireFly for that matter?

For some strange reason livetv behavious differntly when the -livetv commandline option is used, and when livetv is selected on the main menu.

If I start livetv on the main menu all is fine, is get a smooth fullscreen picture.
When i use the commandline the picture is zoomed in a bit, it looks like the videoframe is not fullscreen. It kinda looks like gbpvr isn't starting in fullscreen mode, but in windowed, since the zooming is about the same amount as the titlebar height.

I also tried to start with the -noframe option, but for some reason there is still a frame (the menuoptions, close,max,etc are gone btw )

The main problem is that these couple of zoomed line make the dvdmax feature of the matrox work wrong, since that requires the right aspect ratio of the videoframe (which it isn't 4:3 anymore since because of the couple of zoomed lines).

Ps, using the latest version (21.4),  tried several decoders . overlay vs vmr  but problem is always the same.

An idea of what is causing this behaviour?

Hardware: WinTV-PVR250. WinTV2000 works fine. Re-installed the latest MVP software.

I can contact GB-PVR server and load application. GB-PVB' GUI does show on TV. I can also play vedio file, just can not watch TV program.

I select TV-Guide>Choose a program>OK>Watch, I can see program name and "buffer %0 full" etc on TV screen, but no picture shows up, just some black and wihite noise.

Also, there are other two problems:
1) whenever I reboot the machine, I have to phsically stop Haupage's MediaMVP and start GB-PVB Media MVP server, other wise MVP always goes to Haupage's MediaMVP server.

2) Somtime when I tried to turn off the MVP, it just re-contacts the server and can't go off.

I know could be some config issue, just can't figure out.

Having more money than sense :) , when I was preparing for my GB-PVR setup, I bought both a MediaMVP and a PVR350.  Now, I have a configuration that works wonderfully with the PVR350, and the MediaMVP is still in the box.  

Being new to the PVR arena, I don't think I understand all of the possibilities that are available to me.  

I imagine that, since the MVP doesn't have a tuner card, it would be useful in the following scenarios:

a)  for the playback of media after it has been recorded
b)  to be able to view recorded programs while others are being recorded
c)  to watch two different recorded programs simultaneously (provided that they could be modulated onto different channels and distributed appropriately)

I'm looking for any suggestions on how I might use these two in conjunction (assuming they're hanging off a single machine, and what benefits, if any, I might gain from such a setup (if it's even possible).

Hi everyone!

Finally got my hardware in today, and I have run into a couple issues and I would appreciate any help that can be provided.

1. Upon starting GBPVR locally everything looks and sounds great, however on my TV (with the mediaMVP installed) I am not getting sound.

2. Video playback seems to stall for a split second then resume. Both devices are hooked into a 100 megabit switch.

3. Video output on from the mediaMVP seems to have a refresh rate problem or something... lines in the picture seem a bit unstable.

I installed the wintv software and installed the ic.exe software which is the remote software. Then I installed the gb-pvr software. I have everything working but the remote. I did channel changer .exe and the I put in the ir.exe and then it has a parameters and it says {channel}. But when I start the gb-pvr software the remote does nothing can somebody please help. thanks.

Hauppauge 350PVR (svid out to hd tv)
VMR7

My Problem:
I am running the latest release of GBPVR. I have been reading the forums on GBPVR memory usage. It seems that my machine will record 2 or 3 shows... then get a "virtual memory error" and GBPVR locks up. A restart is needed to fix.
I look at my task manager and I see that the memory for the recording service and gbpvr.exe keep creeping up and never come down. I also noticed that if I fire up the OSD there are two instances of GBPVR.exe. Is this correct?? I have a batch file that restarts the recording service for a temp fix. I restart it every night at about 2 am. I've read the "almost give up" thread and tried the dll fix... no good....Any thoughts??

When installed my GB-PVR, in the DVD section of settings it said you need Daemon tools to mount a DVD image, then specify a SINGLE drive as DVD drive..
This made me feel that I can only play ONE DVD iso (or VOB files) at a time. To change that, I need to exist, go to Config, then remount my other image to the same DVD drive letter, then restart GB-PVR..
Is this Correct?
If yes, then there is NO way to get a list of all DVDs ripped to my HD (kinda like the mp3 folders list in Music). This is a BIG minus here I think..

The weird thing is, I found in this thread Link that you can specify a command line option to start GB-PVR playing DVD from a folder:

-dvd:c:\dvds\AceVentura --> start a DVD from the hard drive (by pointing at directory containing ripped DVD)


How come I can play from a folder using command line (which means GB-PVR should be shut down then restarted) but I cannot do this from the main menu..

Any plans to add DVD Library browsing to GB-PVR?

ALL THIS ASSUMES THAT 'My Movies' Bottun on GB-PVR does NOTG allow you play VOB files (DVD ripped in folder), or DVD ISO...

Any comments how to go around this??

I am having problems with my PVR350 recording. It starts and stops correctly and records fine, just won't change to the selected channel to record. It seems to record from what ever the last channel viewed was.

I just "inherited" an older Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-PCI (Model 880) capture card. I am interested in setting up a PC based PVR, but would I be spinning my wheels trying it with this older PVR card? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
