  DivX on the MVP
Posted by: fordster - 2004-09-25, 12:58 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (7)

One thing I’d love to be able to do is play DivX through my MVP. The current beta release of the Hauppauge MVP server program does this and it would be awesome if GBPVR could incorporate this into a future build.

Problem changing zip code for weather plugin
Posted by: chasef - 2004-09-25, 04:47 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

Anyone know how to set the zip code for the weather plugin without using the config program? I ask because when I select the weather plugin in the config program, I get an error. If anyone has any info on this, I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thanks!!

  Multi-Room Configuration
Posted by: xanderphillips - 2004-09-24, 11:37 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

I have just found this software, and scanned all the threads in the forums, yet didn't see this question answered:  Can I setup GBPVR to serve media in a multi-zone configuration?  To try to simply tell what I would like to accomplish:

1 Television w/spdif 5.1 sound & remote control in room A
1 Computer Monitor w/spdif 5.1 sound & remote control in room B

And the ability to have each room see and control different media simultaneously off the same PVR

If GBPVR can handle 2 rooms doing different things at the same time like I have outlined, what hardware would I need to accomplish this?

Would this work?
2x PX-TV402U Capture/TV cards
2x Remote devices (prefer RF instead of IR, are those available?)
1x PC etc...

Thanks

  Error Web Recordings
Posted by: Shoe47 - 2004-09-24, 07:43 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I apologize if this has been addressed.  I’ve been looking/searching in the forums for almost an hour.

The problem:

When I select a show through the web server and hit the record button I get this error:

Anyone have any suggestions???  I've tried this locally and from work.  Same error.

Thanks

Setting the zip code for the weather plugin

How do you set the zip code for the weather plugin so that it will show your local data rather than Wellington, NZ? Great program, by the way!!!

  SageTV Skin...
Posted by: Jason - 2004-09-24, 07:32 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (1)

Just a quick and dirty skin for GBPVR which has the 'look' of nielm's stv for Sage.

http://www.shspvr.com/download/gbpvr_sagetv_skin.zip

or

http://www.gbpvr.com/downloads/SageTV_skin_for_GBPVR.rar

Skins on GBPVR are relatively 'easy' to write... Now we need someone to write a SageTV plugin!

As I said... it was quick...

Maybe we can get Frey to let us in on their MVP client...

  Weather Plugin Crashes
Posted by: charliegiggles - 2004-09-24, 07:26 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

The weather plugin seems to work fine on my cpu. When I attempt to use it on the MediaMvp however my mediaMvp ends up rebooting itself for some reason.

Anyone know why.

Thanks.

Ok .. Let me get this straight ..
Posted by: cas2 - 2004-09-24, 07:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I've been looking at building a multituner pvr with several clients for quite a while, and if this software can do what i think it can, it's the coolest thing I've ever seen. There's a donation as soon as i get it up running .. Here are my questions:

Are there any limitations in using an MVP versus working directly with the application, ie. can I watch live tv, schedule recordings, use the EGP etc. from the MVP??

Can I add as many MVP clients as i like?

If I we're to build a gb-pvr server with say 4-5 PVR-250 tuners and 3-4 MVP clients would the solution be stable?

I would like to be able to schedule recordings using the browser in my 3G phone, is the epg included in the web interface?

This piece of software looks really amazing. Thanks you in advance for anyone able to answer my questions.
