sorry but the design for the file list(video library etc) is horrible, the rest of the app is fantastic, looks pretty and all but the file list just looks out of place.
a really good design is how xbmc do there file list, i wish you could change it or extend it so you could change view, since if there is no pics in the directories they look ugly.
dont mean to be rude or anything but like i said the rest of the app is beautiful.
This is a message to the creator of gbpvr and also anyone else that can provide me with so startup advise. Firstly, let me say tha GBPVR looks excellent and I am wishing to use it with Hauppage MediaMVB for remote access. Problem is, living in the UK as I do with digital Terretrial braodcasting (not Sattellite), I need a PC card which supports it. Hauppage do a nice little cheap card (The Nova T PCI), But I notice this is not on the GBPVR supported cards list. I'm looking to provide a setup where my PC is in the loft, and my TV is in the living room fed by the Hauppage MediaMVB, using GBPVR. So I have a few questions please?
1) Is the Nova T PCI card supported by GBPVR ?
2) Is this card limited functionality? (I notice Hauppage do not mention live TV pause).
3) Is there a better digital TV card anyone can recommend if this one is not compatible.
4) what are my options ?
Many thanks to all of you who respond, and Good luck to the creator of GBPVR. Hoping I can use it in my solution.
I just installed the latest Plextor M402U driver Version 2.0.1.6
In the Intervideo DVD creator programme provided it works fine, under live tv in GBPVR the video starts out ok for a few seconds then rapidly slows in frame rate to a halt.
Here is the list.
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">-pos:x,y,width,height --> force window to appear at specific location
-dvd --> start DVD playback
-dvd:c:\dvds\AceVentura --> start a DVD from the hard drive (by pointing at directory containing ripped DVD)
-EmptyEPG
-OnlyEmptyEPG
-TVGuide --> These will take you straight to this screen
-Recordings --> These will take you straight to this screen
-LiveTV --> These will take you straight to this screen
-UpdateEPG --> force the EPG to be updated as GB-PVR starts
-OnlyUpdateEPG --> updates the EPG but never starts the GB-PVR gui.
-noframe --> startup without a title bar
-topmost --> to keep GB-PVR in the foreground even when it is not the active application
-mvpmode --> presumably for running the mvp server code

Answer to this post (to add some commands I forgot, for instance) will be added to the list.
In all skins addressing the Theaters button gives the subtext:
"view your address book"
It seems to me that this is a flaw in the plugin (Sorry Jorm)
And in the skins Scan, Blue task and Flat Blue but not in Red Sky and Blue addressing the Theaters button results in the following error:
Error: could not find a part of the path in C:/Program Files/devnz/gbpvr/skin/Flat Blue/skin.xml
and /Flat Blue can be replaced with /Scan and /Blue task in respectively their error messages.
This might be an error in the skin design, but again, I'm no programmer.
I operate GB_PVR on my TV screen. The output is either s-vid from TV-out (the normal PC-screen on TV). I rarely use that channel since I want to be where the action is, live tv and DVD etc. and thats the channel where the X-card put's the output, also s-vid.
But there any skin looks like shit (imagine a pc monitor on 256 colors)
Is the problem clear? And ss there a solution for that problem?
Currently I try to feed out the SPDIF to my stereo receiver, and watch with GB-PVR's DVD player. I can finally achieve with Digital 2.1 speaker SPDIF. I could not make it work for Digital 5.1 SPDIF. I went to play with a regular PowerDVD player, it outputs for 5.1 correctly.
Anyone configure to work with SPDIF Digital 5.1 before? Let me know how to make it work.
