A quick wish.....
How about some form of visual or audable feedback when a
button is pressed, either by the mouse or by remote control.
I don't know whether it is my remote or what, but I find myself
pushing (say) the OK button several times on occasion because
nothing seems to be happening.
Things like going into Live TV mode are always confusing because
you don't generally know if GBPVR is doing anything for a couple
of seconds or more.
How about the button background changing colour when
"pressed" when in the menus and or an audable "click or tone
in situations like pressing the home or Esc key. (Or both!
I can't get the Dutch translations to work. Where do I put the language.xml file? It says 'put it in your GB-PVR directory' on the plugins page, so I put it in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr, but it doesn't work for some reason.
I also tried the plugins and skin subdirectories as well, but no luck either.
Ive been using 'Alan Birtles' killer new Radio Times grabber which handily has all of the UK's regional channel listings (not that much ever differs between them!
However i thought i should be able to change the names of the relevant pictures in GBPVR>Media>ChannelLogos to match the channel names produced in the XMLTV file but this doesnt seem to work....
Is there any way of changing something so that the graphics for the selected hardware decoder is NOT initialised until Live TV or DVD etc. is selected?
Basically so no image is being output from the X-Card/PVR 350 whilst using the menu system?
Thanks!

Live TV works fine. I watch something, then hit either Stop or Exit/Menu on the Hauppauge remote to go back to the main menu. I can go back into Live TV and watch any recordings I already have just fine.
The problem is that after I watch Live TV, every single recording I have scheduled fails until I manually restart the GB-PVR Recording Service. After I restart the service recordings start working again, until the next time I watch Live TV...
I'm currently using 0.21.4, but I've seen this problem for the last two or three versions. (I don't think 0.18 had it.)
I am also using Win2K and a WinPVR 250 if that helps.
Hi All,
I wish to buy a Hauppage WinTV PVR-USB2 device, and just wanted to know if anyone knew:
If I input a widescreen picture into the box (from an OnDigital Box), will I be able to view the whole picture in GBPVR?
The reason I ask is that I have a widescreen laptop and would quite like to use the whole screen.
Many thanks,
Stuart
I'm having problems setting up this card. Â I've chosen the same software playback codec as Intervideo VSS and have been using this codec in Sagetv and others. Â I'm also using overlay and have tried DM9. I'm using the composite in. The image is choppy! Â I've also tried using a higher bitrate with no success. Â I've tried the latest release "I believe 2.14 and 2.13". Â Both releases are using up all cpu cycles during playback.
Any help would be appreciated. Â I've got to get this working with my mediamvp. Â This seems to be the only application "and free to boot" that has a client for it.
