Hello!
Can anyone help me. When i installed the new version. The GB-PVR server wont minimize on startup. I can fix this with closing the server and then select restart Recording service.
Is this problem related to the new version or to me or my comp?
I, I have just installed GB-PVR on a Compaq Deskpro EN (PIII 800, integrated graphics, XP). It works fine with WinTV2k btw.
When I go to live TV, I get a flash of live TV then a black screen. It doesnt help if I change channels. However, if I right click I get a text box up (test) and then when I clear this the video is there. And it changes channel OK - however, the position of the text box remains black - so a small black square in the centre of the screen remains.
My settings are VMR7 with the default playback decoders. Using other decoders dont seem to integrate very well (separate window etc), but dont display the same problem.
I noticed that GB-PVR needs always to be on top in windows in order to use the remote. Buts Since I use S-vid out on the X-card to my TV set I don´t notice that some stupid windows screen (like another PC in my network reconnecting) I have to go back to windows on another S-vid channel on my tv (the tv-out of my video card) an close that window and click on GB-PVR to make it the active screen again.
Is there a (command line??) option to keep GB-PVR always on top?
cheers, arttext
I was asking me what is the advantage of "buffering" live FM radio?
My problem is that my computer is very slow and when I listen FM radio withot any other activity, it works fine, BUT as soon as I go back to menu and browse the main menu, it begins to make some little silences or "scratches".
So what is the advantage of buffering if it is not possible to record the past 2 minutes for instance.
I don't find and record capabilities in this plugin.
Is it possible to configure it to use direct FM tunner?
Thank you very much.
BTW, is it possible for future version to "browse" FM like you do with tunning assistant but for FM radio?
The ability to add "current" frequency to list and to delete it from the interface xhould be very very very nice !!
As you can see, I use FM Radio plugin very ofen.
While browsing the guide, I see channel 1, 2, 3, ... one line per channel. Right?
So, when I go down the last visible line to see channel 8 or 9 (for instance), I don't see them. I only see repeated channel 6 and 7.
Here is an idea how about a plug-in for maps, In the config you can setup a couple of start points e.g. my home, My office, My parents (Each start point could also be an end point) then Possibly opening up MS On screen Keyboard (or create a GBPVR virtual keyboard) you type in the destinations. I thing that using the remote with the cell phone way of entering letters is a pain. What would also be good is after you enter an address it's saved for easy recall there should be some feature to delete start and end destinations.
I would recommend using MS Map Blast I find its the only one that is up-to-date.
Also being able to print on a local or networked printer.
What do you think? I wish I could program C.
