  OSD/Mini-Guide
Posted by: MaX - 2004-09-17, 07:54 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

When watching LiveTV the OSD does not update with the new information from the TV Guide. The next show will start and the time has changed, but the OSD still displays information from the 1st show that I watched. If I turn the Mini-Guide on and then off the OSD gets updated. Also is it posible to have the volume buttons display next/previous shows in the Mini-Guide. I'm using GBPVR v2.14 with PVR drivers v1.18.021.22254.

  Live TV on PVR 250
Posted by: trebor - 2004-09-17, 02:38 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have a PVR 250 which works perfectly well with the WinTV software supplied with the card. However I was wanting to use it with GBPVR.

I can play previously recorded files using GBPVR, but when I try to watch live TV, I can see only white noise.

As far as I know I have entered the channel tuning infromation in the necessary fields in the software.

Can anyone suggest where I am going wrong?

I am in the UK and the card is connected to my antenna.

Regards

Trebor

  Configure Plextor M402U
Posted by: Plextor M402U user - 2004-09-17, 02:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Can someone tell me how to configure GB-PVR to work with Plextor M402U. This device is supposed to work with GB-PVR. I'm from sweden and I use XMLTV-compatible o2grabber. By the way, I am not interested in EPG. I just want to b able to manually schedule a recording, by entering numbers. When trying to watch "Live TV" I get the following error message:

Error: Failure playing back file

thanks for a reply

  webscheduler
Posted by: skywatcher - 2004-09-17, 07:20 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

sub please could you take a quick look at a simple workaround to allow GB-PVR to call Webscheduler to make a recording from a DVB card. All it would have to do is to call the appropriate webpage i.e.
http://localhost:8080/servlet....art(%Y)
it passes the data for recording onto WS like this when it is running from your epg.
Si if you can persuade gbpvr to call for this webpage on a recording that should do it.

  DVD play in GB-PVR
Posted by: arttext - 2004-09-17, 07:06 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Since nobody came up with a solution to my problem, here's a more in-depth-analysis of the problem, maybe that helps.
Premisses:
1. My GB-PVR uses the hardware decoder of the X-card
2. Auto insert is switched off

When I insert a dvd, I wait until the dvd player (hardware) stops whirring and I click on DVD in the GB-PVR menu, the menu turns black (normally the movie would be there) and gb-pvr freezes and I have to close it.

When I start X-player then (the X-Card's native player), check if the DVD is there and the dvd-rom player is checked (not playlist!Wink, then I close the program and start GB_PVR again.
Now it works fine and I can play the DVD from the GB-PVR menu.
But only as long as I don't insert a new dvd!

I disabled autoplay 'cause I thought that was the problem.

Seems to me like a painstaking procedure to play a DVD, so:

Anyone a sound advice?

cheers,
arttext

Stupid newbie question about Theater plugin
Posted by: srchuck - 2004-09-17, 02:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Here goes..

What is the usage of the gettheaterlistings application? I try to run it, feeding it my area code (319) like this:

gettheaterlistings 319

And it tells me "Invalid area code".

Can anyone advise and tell me what I'm doing wrong, and what I need to do to make it work?

Thanks!

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see the topic already started about this. I get the same error message using my zip code instead of my area code... Still looking for suggestions! [Image: smile.gif]

EDIT 2: I solved my own problem... Apparently there are no theater listings for my area! Is there anything I can do about this?

Automatic wakeup for EPG updates?  And FF/RW?
Posted by: scooter - 2004-09-17, 12:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Can GBPVR automatically wake the computer from hibernate for updating the EPG? I can schedule something to wake the computer every day at the right time, but I was hoping the software would do this by itself so if I change the time of the update I won't have to go change the wake-up task.

Also, does FF and REW work in the live TV? I can pause it, and I can see the remote buttons are mapped to CTRL-F/R for FF/REW, but neither the remote nor the key-strokes seem to have any effect.

Thanks!

  xcard RGB scart output
Posted by: steele - 2004-09-17, 12:19 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Does gb-pvr support the onboard scart header (j2 port) of the xcard. I imagine it does not looking at previous topics on the forum but they are old.
If not any chance of support (should probably go in the wishlist, then)

Kind Regards

steele
