Can you please change the colour on the Album Directory select. When using the MVP its hard to see what Album you've
selected, because the backgrounds white and the Highlighters a thicker white. What about Blue or RED.
A few completely unimportant but probably necessary things to point out..
DVD Ripper says:
Rip DVDs from your DVD drive to **you** hard drive
Comics says:
View the **lastest** comics....
Oh, and here's one that's just ultra-super-picky (don't hit me)..
Just for consistency, 'TV Guide' button has a full-stop at the end of it's description at the bottom of the screen, but nowt else does.
As I said, nitty, picky unimportant things but might as-well get 'em ironed out!
I have a few questions on recording...
Is it possible to watch a program whilst recording it? At the moment as far as I can distinguish it is, but you have to go into recordings and the pending and click watch on that, but I find if I've only recorded ten minutes then even though whilst watching that ten minutes another ten were recorded, it will stop after ten?
Perhaps a wishlist item but I could be wrong so I thought I'd check here.. it would be much better if when something is recording, you could still watch that 'live', so when you click on it in the EPG the 'watch' button is still there, and when you click 'Live TV' it goes to whatever is being recorded; i.e. if some flag is activated saying 'Recording Active' then when Live TV is clicked it simply watches the feed but sends no change channel signal.
Also would it be possible to watch DVDs whilst recording something?
Oh and I've noticed that if I start to record something that is already on, sometimes it never actually records anything (maybe because it has no time trigger activation as it already passed when the program started?).
Thanks!!
My USB-UIRT device arrived today. I have it running GB-PVR right now, with three shows scheduled to tape overnight as a test run.
It's working so far. I'm using a Motorola DCT2000 digital cable box. I have the USB-UIRT sitting right next to the cable box, and it changes the channels. I didn't test the range beyond maybe 4-5 feet. It doesn't weigh that much and kept falling off the top of the TV, so I put a paperweight on top of it to keep it in place.
Notes:
* You don't need Girder (but you already knew that).
* I think you have to leave the cable box on all of the time, right?
How about an alarm that can invoke any item from GBPVR. mp3, tv, video, radio etc.
multiple alarms with customized snooze times for different alarms.
Ability to choose weekdays, weekends, customized repeat times, etc.
or;
What about a tv freindly front end for something like skype? Now where did I leave that bluetooth headset?....
The homepage mentions that the Pinnacle PCTV Deluxe USB
is currently supported, but the Pinnacle PCTV Deluxe USB is not an option when choosing a capture device. Do I need to choose a plug in for a different card?
it's called blueTask because of the taskimages. some of the plugins do not display them, though they are in the correct folders. sub said, this will be fixed, so just wait for the next release :-)
Is there any bleb users that could help me out. There is a file called bleb-channels.xml in the gbpvr directory. It contains details about each of the channels it gets from bleb. I need an updated version of this file with two specific types of fixes:
- Currently this file incorrectly has all the channel numbers set to "33". These should ideally have the correct numbers, which would mean users wont have to change their channel numbers in future.
- A few channels are current using the SkySports3 logo because I didn't know what the correct logos were supposed to be. Is there any chance you could locate the correct logos on http://www.satlogo.com?
Got a weird problem which I'm certain is not down to gbpvr but something else.
I've just updated to the latest version, downloaded, installed and did my first recording. Picture is fine but the sound distorts a little on certain voices e.t.c
It's very odd, I previously thought it was down the the ariel I was using, but I've just had a new one installed which should make everything crystal.
At any rate I did a recording on the standard settings out of the box, picture is fine but the sound is still distorting. It occurs on livetv as well, so I can switch from channel to livetv output and the one has distortion the other doesn't. I've even played back the recording on my own PC in order to rule out a problem with the TV, again the distortion played back through my PC as well.
Has anyone come across this or have a solution I could try? perhaps the sampling rate/bit rate on the recording? I played around with these a little but I'm no expert so I could be missing something.
Not exactly related to GBPVR but anyone got any ideas?
