I am trying to add show to record from remote and it is not working. I am able to select the option to record once or record the whole season. But it never shows up in the pending shows or anything. Anyone else run into this. It is a very cool feature and I would love for it to work.
Every time after viewing Live TV then exiting and going back in, Live TV appears to start on channel 0 or such. Â Is it possible to define a default channel to start at each time when entering Live TV or to have it save the last channel used?
Is there a way to use the built in CLE266 Hardware MPEG2 Decoder that is on the via 10000M motherboards with GBPVR? Â It was not a option in the hardware decoder list.
I have been thinking about setting up a system with a Hauppauge MediaMVP to control the front end, but wondered whats the best capture device/tuner to get.
What I was wondering though is on the screen shots it shows channels you get on digital tv, but all the recommended tv tuners are just normal terestrial tv tuners and shouldnt be able to pick up digital channels.
What id like to be able to do is pick up Freeview & TopupTV which at the moment gets picked up though an old OnDigital reciever into my TV, but id like to be able to have it all accesible on a PVR system like this.
Can someone explain a bit more how these things work with digital tv recievers??
Hi all,
I'm searching for a plugin or GbPvr function that can turn off the Pc after a specified number of minutes or hours like some televisions (sleep function 30m, 60m 90m, 120m, ecc...)
Here in Atlanta, Georgia, there is a website that we can go to that has the current traffic conditions for the city, or the state. It displays a map JPG (might be a gif) that is updated regularly.
It would be AWESOME if there was a way to have a plugin where you could pre-set a URL and it would go to that URL and pull the image and display it. Would be a nice complement to the Weather report.
Background: Shuttle SN45G with an Athlon 2500+ (at 3200+), 512 MB RAM, Radeon 9600XT, Hauppauge PCTV-PVR250. I have .Net 1.1 installed. I also have all other patches for win 2K installed as per Windows Update.
When I try to start up GB-PVR I get a window that pops up and says the following:
"An unhandled exception has occured....." blah blah blah...
"The .Net Data OLE DB Provider(System.Data.OleDb) requires Microsoft Data Access Components(MDAC) version 2.6 or later. Version 2.53.6200.0 was found currently installed."

I'm using GB-PVR with the Hauppauge 250 card and have a bunch of channels coming through that I can't tune it in to.
I can find some using the tuning assistant if I set my country to US, and some if I set it to UK - so I can't figure out how to set all of them in the software.
The WinTV software can find them all, so I guess it's possible.
Is there any way to directly set the frequency for each channel in GB-PVR?
Finally after a month, I got my GBPVR working with PVR 350 ( reinstalled all my Drivers for PVR from groundup.) Live TV works just fine. And it plays the recorded MPEGs as well. But if they were recorded in a different format ( like extra long dvd format in Win2k ), GBPVR freezes after 5 sec playback. But when I press home, it can recover itself.
Now for some reason, I cannot play audio files ( mp3s and wavs ), the buttons ( Play, Play All ) are not even enabled. I looked at configs and couldn't find anything obvious. How do I make my GBPVR play the audio files ?
And I like the photo viewer but for some reason the aspect ratio is not good. So they look distorted. Is there any way we could stretch the photo to occupy the screen space.
