I had forgotten to do this, so I thought I would post this reminder. If you are using the zap2it guide with GBPVR now, then there is no need to get the xmltv listings anymore. So don't forget to remove the scheduled task if you set one up to automatically get the xmltv listing
I really enjoy this program and would like to get it up and running properly. I have the TV Guide working fine and live tv also gives me a picture now. I need help with 2 problems please.
When I record something however, the picture is washed out. I cannot locate any video controls.
I have no sound. Since there is no sound out on the roslyn board, how can I get the sound to work? I have used Beyond TV and it had sound but the picture and interface I did not care for so I was turned to GBPVR by a friend of mine.

i don't know, if this has been discussed before, but i think it would be nice to not only see epg info of the actual programm in live-tv, but the next one too. this would be nice for mini-guide too.
at this point i would like to have a progress bar, which displays, how much of the current programm i have missed.
another point, which maybe a bug: i whatched a recorded movie. the progress bar was ok, but the duration field displayed 15 minutes. the movie had two hours!
these are only a few ideas of low priority, i think. keep it up!
I received my card today and installed it (works with WinTV 2000)
Windows and Belarc see it as Hauppauge WinTV-PVR PCI II (Encoder-16). At least that is the only driver it seems to want to install.
I am completely unable to get it up and going with gbpvr, but then again I am new
Please help
I have a recording that failed, in fact it seems most of my recordings after midnight fail anyway (gremlins, perhaps). Anyway, I was supposed to record this show at 3:30AM. It didn't record, and now it's stuck in the recordings list as "Failed" and won't delete. What do I do?
Hi SUB,
I have downloaded your latest beta software and am trying to set up my TV channels. I am living in Ireland but unfortuneately Ireland isn't listed as one of the supported countries. Undaunted I have tried dfiferent countries and managed to find most of my channels. However, live tv stutters along. Every two seconds or some there is a slight pause. Any thoughts as to why this might be? My tv card is a PVR250. If I can get this working on the PC I can then try my MVP. BTW my PC is a DELL with a 2.66GHz processor and 512MB RAM.
regards and thanks
I'd like to give a big thanks to both Hauppauge for supplying a new PVR350, and to SHS for arranging it for me. Without this replacement card, development was going to be very difficult.
Alright, next step...getting the capture card to work with GBPVR. I am going into the Configuration program (GBPVR's), going to "Capture Sources," Edit, Recording Source->Settings, and my Avermedia m179 is not listed as a "Capture Card Type." I tried picking m150, but that doesn't seem to work as I cannot watch Live TV in GBPVR (it says "Failed to communicate with the GBPVR Recording Service". Any ideas? I thought the m179 was supported by default....
Looking at your latest release, the MVP server does not appear to work with the latest Hauppauge network protocols used. The latest internal beta 2.2.* simply reboots the MVP when any of the menu items are selected.
Now that I got this working i can hassle you with questions
On playing back over MediaMVP does it read the file directly or can ffdshow be used on it? The colour is dark from the mediaMVP, or maybe my recordings are too low, but it would be cool with we can do post processing?
If not I'll see if i can turn up the brightness on my recordings without them looking all washed out,
