It would be great if the music library supported windows shortcuts. Â I have 200-300 CDs ripped into directories by artist. Â I programatically create directories and shortcuts that list all the mp3s by genre and artist (by reading the id3 tags). Â The problem is that the media library does not "see" the file.mp3.lnk windows shortcuts as mp3 files. Â This setup works great with any other standard windows media player (Windows Media Player, WinAmp, Itunes, etc).
I downloaded 0.17i and installed, after completely removing the 0.16 version.
Every time I go to view Live TV I get the following message.
"Failed to communicate with GB-PVR Recording Service. Â This software is possibly not running. Â After rebooting, try again. Â If the problem persists contact support@devnz.com "
I have checked the service is running, I have rebooted computer and restarted the service (several times)
If I try to record nothing happens.
I am running winxp pro with a pvr250 roslyn card.
I have run beyond tv and verified that the card does work.
When I "stop" a recorded show using the MVP Hauppauge Remote, I briefly see a "stop" icon on a black screen. It does not return to the GB menu. At this point the remote is mostly dead. The only thing that works is the Power button. After a MVP off/on cycle using the remote, the remote returns still dead. Before and after the power cycle, the MVP red light blinks like it's getting the remote signal.
Recycling the GB MediaMVP Server gets me back to a working remote. But I effectively can't stop what I'm watching and get back to the GB menu.
Config-wise: The Win-TV Remote is not running and the GB config is set to "No changer". MVP with a 350.
Just installed v.17
Going thru the config, I switched over to Zap2it
It proceeded to connect to Zap2it and after several minutes of processing produced an error pop-up:
Failure in ChannelFactory:toreChannels(): The INSERT INTO statement contains the following unknown field name: 'sub_title'. Make sure you have typed the name correctly and try the operation again.
My Zap2it info is configured for USA, Zip code 19440, "Comcast-Sellersville" as the provider.
I just installed 1.7 and I love it so far except... when I watch live tv through my mediamvp and then shut off the mvp or switch to another function like mp3 playback, the process seems to continue on my host computer (or at least the iconn says so). The first time I noticed this, the live tv recording process was taking up 95% of my processor time. In subsequent times, it has not seemed to be as processor intensive. Any thoughts?
Firstly - many thanks to Sub for a great piece of software.
I love Net Radio but is there any chance of Real Audio and Windows Media support?
I listen to a lot of shoutcast stations (Soma FM especially) but theres a lot of good stuff on other formats - especially Real Player (its a piece of shit I know, but the BBC dont use anything else).
Secondly - would it be possible to support extra plugins when playing music? I use a plugin called audioscrobbler ( audioscrobbler ) for Winamp and WMP (among many others) which submits the mp3s you've played to an online database. I would never need to fire up winamp again if GBPVR supported this
