  v0.17 available for download
Posted by: sub - 2004-05-16, 03:55 AM - Forum: NextPVR Announcements - Replies (26)

GB-PVR V0.17 is now available for download at http://www.gbpvr.com/Setup017i.exe

Highlights would be Zap2it support for the US/Canada users, XCard DVD Player and first cut at web scheduling (including source for those that want to extend it). XMLTV is too difficult to get going for most users, so I'm sure the easy to use Zap2it support will be appreciated.

From the change.log file:

2004-5-9 v0.17
- Added Zap2it data direct EPG source for USA/Canada users. No XMLTV required. This should be easier to setup for new users. It will attempt to retain 10 days of listings. The initial load can take long time depending on the number channels. Subsequent loads are quicker, as it'll only need the last day.
- Rearranged config app layout to squeeze in a few more settings.
- Now correctly handling with newline character at the end of program names in swedish XMLTV listings
- Now supporting extended characters in filenames when playing back via the MVP
- NetRadio and MP3s now also working with XCard. NetRadio can be slow to start, I'm not sure why yet - still investigating.
- Now allowing horizontal resizing of the OSD on the XCard. The is done in software, so only resize horizontally if you have to because it make the xcard GUI a little slower (you probably wouldn't notice).
- Added tray icon to let you know what the recording service is up to (in 64 characters or less).
- Added support for MCE remote control. This is enabled in the config app.
- First cut at web scheduling is included. If the web server is enabled, you can get to it by accessing http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/index.aspx . Big thumbs up to LivesNbox for the great job be did on this.
- Now informing you of conflicts when you schedule a recording, and allowing to resolve the conflict with a list of options.
- You can now select channel number using number keys when entering a manual recording.
- Logging filenames changed so that history of last three runs is kept.
- Change to the skin xml files. Added SkinHelper class as first steps of producing more uniform/consistent skin.xml settings. Also added the ability to use colour gradients in many parts of the skins. Colors can be by name (Green/Black/etc) or by #RRGGBB constant. Lots more options now available for new skins.
- Added XCard DVD player. During DVD playback "Blue/Ctrl-B" key will return to the DVD's main menu. "Home/Menu/Stop" key will stop DVD playback and return to the main GB-PVR menu. During DVD playback "Green/Ctrl-G" key toggles closed caption information. Pause/Play/Skip/FF/RW are as you'd expect.
- Several other small fixes

Support for PVR 350 DVD out
Posted by: FilterGraph - 2004-05-16, 12:01 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (14)

I know, I know...
PVR 350 doesn't support encrypted DVD out.

I would like non-encrypted DVD out. So I can watch my home made DVD's of my kids through GB-PVR.

Since this is the wishlist, I'm wishing.

If this does eventually make it into GBPVR, will it work on the MVP?

Hauppauge 350 tv out, how to enable?
Posted by: r1base14 - 2004-05-15, 11:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hey everyone, I'm giving GB-PVR a shot because Sage is wreaking havok on my system and people rave about GB-PVR. Anyways, I know that you can enable the 350's tv out through the settings in the config program, but even when I select the 350 as my card, the settings box remains inaccesible, as in I can't click on it. I'm positive that this is something silly that I am missing, but does anyone know why the settings are not acesible to me? Thanks for reading.

  GBPVR Doesn't Recognize PVR350
Posted by: FilterGraph - 2004-05-15, 11:39 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

GBPVR doesn't see my PVR 350 card for Hardware decoding. GBPVR only recognizes the card the way WinXP Pro does, as "Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II". I can select the 350 for hardware decoding in the configuration program, but when I start GBPVR it says that it can't find a PVR 350. How do I fix this?

Hello all,

I just got a PVR250 MCE, it is installed properly windows xp pro recognizes it as a Hauppauge WinTV 88x.
I am unable to find a match in GBPVR for this.  If any one else has this card and is using GBPVR I would appreciate a little help getting this going.  I am unable to watch live tv or record.

Thanks in advance

First off-
GREAT JOB SUB!
Thank for all the hard work.

Now my question...
I removed all the stations in the net radio folder and replaced them with shoutcast stations I wanted, but they don't show up in the interface. How do I go about fixing this?

  playing a file while recording
Posted by: jui - 2004-05-14, 05:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

when I record a show, lets say going from 8:00 to 10:00, and then I come home at 8:30 and start playing the file from "Recordings" while it is still recording, I can only watch it for the time that has passed since its beginning. In this case for 30 minutes. It then stops and I can start playing it again, then again lasting for the time past, so another 30 minutes when I jump to the end point of the former session.

Is this the wanted behaviour? Sorry if this was discussed before, I could not find this topic.

Greetings
Jui

  GB-PVR / MediaMVP Security
Posted by: Jack_GB - 2004-05-14, 12:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Just installed the MediaMVP, looks great with GB-PVR, but I was surprised it showed my entire sever's PC HD, not just the shared folders.

Could there be security risks running this?

Could someone outside connect to the GB-PVR server and access all files?
