hi, each day i use this software the more inpressed i am with it.
Now using the plugins - I installed them all. Problem is they all don't fit on the screen. Any way of make the titles smaller or more the titles across the screen?
Hey!
I'm new to all this in the last week, but I have been digging through every forum and every piece of information I can find to try to figure out a setup that works!
I live in the UK and subscribe to NTL Cable television.
I want basically what everyone else wants:
1) To be able to pause/rewind TV
2) To be able to schedule recordings using an EPG and NOT worry about leaving it on the right channel (i.e. it will change channel for me, I don't mean being able to watch one channel and record another).
3) To watch DVDs
4) All above from a dedicated PC
I have a mobo, RAM, chip all the rest. All I need is advice on the right TV Card that will work with Cable television (I am using NTL in UK), a sound card with a good digital out and how to output the bes picture (XCard?).
If I got a Hauppage PVR USB2, an XCard and a sound card with S/PDIF out and used GB PVR, would all the above be possible?
Please help, there is so much conflicting advice out there I just need a set up that works!
Thanks very much in advance!
In hope,
Josh
Firstly i'd like to say that GB-PVR is a fantastic application, a big thanks and well done to Sub!
Onto my issue. I have this problem whereby when viewing LiveTV everything works fine. But, if i use the remote (or up/down arrow keys) to change channel, it will change a couple of times ok, then the TV screen will go orange and no picture (or sound) will be displayed until the PC has been rebooted.
This problem doesn't happen if i use the EPG to change channels?
My hardware spec is as follows:
- Dual Intel P3 1GHz CPU's
- Elite Mobo (VIA Chipset)
- 256MB RAM
- Hauppauge PVR350
- Radeon Graphics Card
- GB-PVR V18l
After reading through some of the other forum posts, i have installed the latest Hauppauge and VIA 4in1 drivers and tried all three operating modes (VMR9 / VMR7 / Overlay) but exactly the same thing happens.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this, or is it just down to an incompatibility between the PVR350 and my motherboard?
If it is down to hardware incompatibility, what is the best motherboard / cpu option to go for when using the PVR350 (ie a combination known to work)?
I've just installed GB PVR and I think it's a great program. Â After a few hours of troubleshooting (I live in the Netherlands and have de sub-channel issue) everything worked fine, on my PVR350 and on a MediaMVP. Â
Nice work Sub! !!
I've got an annoying prob. At the bottom of  LiveTV (and Recordings) is a small white line (which isn't there in WinTV2k). Is there anything I can do about it? It's there on the MVP and in a ActiveWindow?
Hey, to follow from the question i asked first - is GB-PVR going to support DivX at some point?
Ive been running the Hauppage software since I got the MVP, but recently switched to using tftpd32 and GB-PVR as per this thread: MVP startup without Hauppauge server
Is it possible to run both the hauppage software and the GB-PVR at the same time - using the GB-PVR interface and the hauppage real-time MPEG4 decoding??
Im quite confused about the roles these 2 pieces of software play, and indeed where they cross-over each other.. Sub?? Janviet??
Any possibility of adding the ability of providing authentication to the web server. Had a google for this, believe you use the Cassini web server, and not found anything myself. Is it possible to use the native IIS instead?
While trawling around looking for a solution to the problem of being unable to tune any channels here in Sydney with my Yuan MPG600, I came across this thread;
Once completed I double-clicked the file and everythiing seemed to go alright, but when I started regedit and had a look at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TS0-0, nothing had changed
Anyways can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or if in fact I am barking up the wrong tree altogether?
