  UK terrestrial XMLTV feed available
Posted by: AndyCherry - 2004-03-06, 05:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

This is mentioned in a couple of threads, but may not be obviuous to everyone, especially coming into discussions late.

There is a new XMLTV feed available for UK terrestrial channels at http://www.bleb.org - the feed can be picked up in a zip file from

http://www.bleb.org/tv/data/listings

using the format given at the page (an example is below)

http://www.bleb.org/tv....t=XMLTV

Also, see "grabEPG" from rubiconsystems.com which processes data from this site.

Cheers,
Andy

  Close WinTV before start recording
Posted by: teris - 2004-03-06, 05:10 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

Hi,

now, GB-PVR works complete... Cable-TV, Pay-TV, EPG, Recordings. Very nice!
For viewing movies at my pc I'm using the WinTV-Application from hauppauge. But when the WinTV-Application is running and GB-PVR starts recording, I get fatal errors.
There should be a function to close applications before starting new records or using any tv-card-application.

Bye,
Sebastian

  013 - livetv
Posted by: colin - 2004-03-06, 03:57 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hey Sub,

finally got around to switching to overlay mode and watching live tv. This is the most stable version I have used yet (PVR 250). I was able to change channels, etc. without hangs, crashes, power resets. Channel change times where fine as well. Nice oneSmile

Cheers,
Colin

  Available Disk Space
Posted by: Jake - 2004-03-06, 02:48 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

I was wondering if it would be possible in one of the screens to list available disk space perhaps in the Recording menu. Or even remaining recording time available, this could be based on MB/hr bit rate variable. I use mostly the Media MVP so there is no way to currently check disk space from the MVP.

  -OnlyUpdateEPG FATAL Error
Posted by: teris - 2004-03-05, 11:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi,

I've createt an XMLTV-file with nextview epg.
I connected GBPVR to this file and get all the Channels with names in the list.
But the programs are not in the EPG. In this forum I found the tip "remove ' +0100'.
The epg is still empty.
Now I tried to use the command 'GBPVR.EXE -OnlyUpdateEPG' and got the following error:
Title: Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Message: Die Anwendung hat einen schweren Ausnahmefehler verursacht, der nicht verarbeitet werden konnte.
Prozess-ID=0xd330 (3376), Thread-ID=0x4c (2892)
Klicken Sie auf OK...

The logfile you can see at http://www.yaggi.de/GBPVR.exe.log .
The compressed XML stays at http://www.yaggi.de/xmltv.rar .

Please help. I bought an extra WinTV PCI card to get EPG-Data.

Bye,
Sebastian

Generate the EPG from Teletext data
Posted by: MaBo - 2004-03-05, 03:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi,
Want to generate the EPG from teletext data because you don't have a permanent internet connection? TT2xmltv may be the answer for you.
Version 0.9 is ready for download via this link. Still, please _do_read_the_readme!

Greetings and have fun!

MaBo

Edit (20090211): For what it's worth. The link has been fixed. Now the latest version can be downloaded.

  Clock
Posted by: ibweasel - 2004-03-05, 09:12 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

I have no vcr or any other device with a clock on it in my audio room. It would be very helpful to know what time it is when I am setting a manual record event or surfing the guide.

Thanks,
Paul
