Excuse the ignorance, as I say im very new to this.
so , I have an nvidia shield with helix iptv . I want to record something tomorrow so just having a play with it.
What ive found....
the epg doesn't work. ive entered in the xlmtv url from helix but nextpvr says its in the wrong format
sometimes the channels play sometimes it says unable to find available capture device 403 forbidden and sometimes the screen goes black and nothing happens
When it does record it invariably fails .
is there an easy fix? is this common ? is it my iptv or just me being stupid?
Like I said sorry if stupid questions but ive only been playing with it for an hour
Hello there. I recently installed nextpvr(4.1 latest version) on my windows 10 pc, and am using Beast IPTV. I assume the Nshared.dll is not configured for Beast, so thought'd I'd go about troubleshooting here.
Anyways, I am running into problems when trying to record via Beast. Playing and viewing live tv via tv guide works well, however i am having trouble recording. Setting the recording works, as i am able to select a show to record, however the problem lies in the playback. Whenever i try to play a recorded tv, it skips part of the show, and "blips" all throughout the duration of the video, Or the video fails to completely record and abruptly ends Half way through. Is there any way to get an Updated NShared.dll to fix the aforementioned problems? To ensure a seamless recording, i have done the following :
I have installed Lav Decoders as instructed on your site
I replaced my Nshared.dll with the newest version as discussed on another thread
I disabled auto sleep in windows to prevent nextpvr from shutting down
I have a google drive link, to log files, which is below. Please help asap
Trying to make the PC only wake for important stuff - like NPVR :o
If I change this to "Important wake timers" - will Win 10 consider this important enough?
Have loved NextPVR for the past 3-4 years. Worked flawlessly.
In the last few weeks, either an update to Windows or some change to my network configuration has stopped NextPVR from recording. Things look normal when I set them up, but I end up with a .ts file of 0kb.
I can't tell if its a problem between NextPVR and my HomeRun Prime or one of those individually.
Instead of going through the EPG hassle, all I really need is to be able to give a custom title for each manual recording, instead of "Default_"
Right now, I am manually editing each recorded file name from "Default_20190221_19001930.ts" to something like "The Big Bang Theory CBS 20190221_19001930.ts"
It would be much easier for NextPVR to customize the title for all manual recordings, especially for recurring.
Picking up quite a few of these which stop recording an item.

AT&T internet works well except for one PC application, named NextPVR.
It is the one application that is preventing me from switching from Comcast internet to AT&T internet.
If I use a Netgear router (for Comcast internet), NextPVR works well.
If I use an AT&T router (for AT&T internet), NextPVR does not work.
The routers are connected (only one at a time) to a D-Link switch, which is connected to the PC running NextPVR, and to an HDHomeRun tuner.
NextPVR does not give an error saying it can't find the tuner, so it does find the tuner.
The AT&T problem is that NextPVR produces a 0 length file, as if it starts recording, but then stops.
The related AT&T problem is that NextPVR will not play any live TV. (However, HDHomeRun View does work with both routers.)
Somehow, the AT&T router does not facilitate streaming, but the Netgear router does???
I have tried rebooting and switching cables several times. Any clues to fix?
