I am thinking about making a new DVR. I call mine Divo. Itâs been 10 years and I am thinking either a top of the line new NUC mini or a Mac mini 2018. I am leaning towards the NUC for cost, but also wanted to ask if Optane would help NPVR or is it not worth it? Thanks!
I've had a SiliconDust HD HomeRun Prime working well for a few years now. All of a sudden though, in settings>devices, it is now detecting three more tuners than I should have. The first three appeared earlier this week, I think. The second 4 have been there for a few months; the -3 has been there for a few months and it messes things up if I delete it as a device or do anything with it really. So that's why I'm hesitant to delete any devices at this point.

I recently purchased and downloaded the NextPVR app on my Apple TV. I have tried to open the app several times and continue to get the response "Searching for NextPVR server...".
I have re-booted the AppleTV unit several times, including soft & hard-boot. No change. I contacted Apple support. They suggested I go through NextPVR support, and here I am.
I have a 50mbps internet connection with no issues on other streaming apps (Netflix, IPTV, etc.).
Is there a registration or set-up required on AppleTV to enable the connectivity to the server?

My TV listings are not updated in the guide unless I restart nextpvr.exe. I have checked the logs and they are downloading at the scheduled time using Schedules Direct. I do not have any extra tasks that run when updating. Each day the guide will show 1 less day of schedules until it is completely blank after 14-15 days if I don't restart nextpvr.exe. This machine primarily records. I use a Kodi to watch recordings. I do not schedule from Kodi, only the nextpvr interface. TV Guide or Recordings menu are always displayed 24/7, although the cable box hdmi port is selected. It does not sleep or hiberate.
Edit: I do not restart the computer or recording service, just exit the UI, nextpvr.exe, and start it again.
I used to input a web link http at Menu where asking for XMLTV source.
New NPVR version asks for a file not a web link , how can I do if my source is web linked not file linked ?
I am currently using 2 HDHomerun primes with two cable cards. I have recently moved exclusively to NextPVR for all my TV watching. I have NextPVR on my windows 7 HTPC as my server and fire tvs as clients. When I record 3 or more shows at the same time one show won't play when I try to watch it later on. when I go to the PC and check the show appears to be there and to have recorded but it just won't play. any ideas?
I recently switched from an HD HomeRun Prime cable card and cable setup to an HD Homerun Connect Duo with antenna setup. Dropping cable and relying on an antenna only.
Been with Schedules Direct for a few years and have never had any problems. However got everything switched over to OTA/ATSC and the guide in Kodi now shows the proper channels available but for all the main networks it only shows the info of the current running show. There are a handful of lesser known channels that have info for weeks.
Is this just the state of OTA guide info in the US....practically non-existent...or am I missing something? I don't want to switch to HD HomeRuns DVR option just yet and would love to keep using Schedules Direct.
