  GB-PVR Playlist ?
Posted by: DaveWinTV350 - 2004-03-19, 01:12 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I mainly use GB-PVR for playback of MPEG files and find the program is generally great.

However when playing back files I find it always returns to the menu screen after each file, where id like it to continue playing the directory of files.

Is this possible. This would be good for playback of short MPEG videos.

Thanks for any help

  MVP and 2 Network Cards
Posted by: lagrian - 2004-03-19, 12:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have the MVP connected to a Netgear PCI NIC using a cross-over cable and connect to the internet with a belkin wireless card. When I have both cards enabled, stopping both the MVP services and starting the GB-PVR MVP server doesn't work and I get the message saying "Failed to connect to GUI Interface" or something similar. As soon as I disable the wireless card it jumps to life and connects, once in I can re-enable the wireless card after it connects it seems to be fine from then on in.

Seems like there may be an issue here, I am just not sure with, is it something to do with the ports and what card they are listening on, I am in the dark in this area. I tried running netstat -a with both cards enabled and when 1 card is enabled. When both are enabled there is one port connected to the MVP and when 1 cards is enabled 2 ports are connected to the MVP. Sorry I don't have the netstat output with me as I am at work. I'll post later.

I must note I don't get this behaviour with the hauppauge MVP server, I believe 2 ports are always connected.

Has anyone else got the MVP on a cross-over cable setup and use another NIC to connect to the internet, wireless or not and has it working ?

Thanks

Lagrian

  v0.14 and OSD
Posted by: stdim - 2004-03-19, 12:17 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hello,
I had installed v0.13 when I saw new release v0.14 which I installed...but I have some issues to ask.
I use PVR350 (latest drivers), XP, SP1 (fresh installed system)....and as I come from Greece I use PAL (tunning channels as "Italy" )...so
* I Installed GBPVR v0.1.4

----works OK but
FF/REW does not work on LiveTV...is it right?...
When changing channels flikering on TV screen when OSD is displayed
after 3h live TV stoped TVout (but happend once or two times out of 5 trials)

----If I play a video file
OSD does not display FF/REW/SKIP keys but it works...
(in previous release v0.13 it was OK)

----I should notice that if I used Mpeg2 Soft decoder=System default or Intervideo
I did noticed the same behaviour
....is it correct?...or did I do something wrong

  Almost there!
Posted by: Blood - 2004-03-18, 03:16 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Couple of questions... I have an external "Freeview" (Digital) box that links into my tv card and I have one channel source called Freeview....

1) I cannot seem to be able to get Live TV running...it works on WinTV but not in GBPVR, any help would be appreciated as I am fairly new to all this!

2) If I did get Live TV running and had the Programme Guide and everything rigged up, would GBPVR automatically change the channel of the "Freeview" box to the prog i wish to record? I believe I need to d/load Girder or something for this?

Cheers for all the help!

Si Blood.

  FF and Rewind in recordings
Posted by: Dai - 2004-03-17, 06:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

The fast forward works for me in this version, (thanks for that sub) but I still have a little problem with it.

While fast forwarding, if I press play, it does not play from the point it had got to in the fast forward, it seems to jump back about 15-30 seconds and play from there. I have a work arround, if press pause while fast forwarding it pauses at the correct place and if press pause again it plays from the correct place but I was wondering if anyone else has problems with pressing play while fast forwarding.

Also, rewind does not work properly for me. instead of playing the file backwards it seems to play a few frames forward and then jump a little bit play another few frames forward etc. again, I'm wondering if it works OK for others or if it is just not finished yet.

  Question on using suspend
Posted by: MaBo - 2004-03-17, 04:39 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

Hi,
I'm using the pvr350 with gbpvr with great pleasure. But I have a problem with using the pvr and suspend. When I let te pc go to sleep and wake it up, all programs work nicely, except for the programs using the pvr. I get sound and a black screen on the tv. (gbpvr, wintv, wintvcap records only sound etc.)
From gbpvr I got lots of error messages "set ivac errors".
Only solution till now: restart the pc after which everything is fine.
Anyone got a clue what I could do??
greets,
MaBo

Can't see Live TV or Record
Posted by: Paul Mc - 2004-03-17, 01:45 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I've just updated to 0.14 and I'm having problems. Reverting back to 0.13 seemed to make no difference. I am using a PVR2 USB under Windows XP Pro.

I cannot get Live TV (in GBPVR) to work nor can I get a scheduled recording to work properly. If I set one up when the start time arrives an mpg file is created of zero length and then the CPU utilisation jumps to around 100% but nothing is recorded.

WinTV2K, WinTV32 and the radio all work fine. Previously recorded video files and MP3s play OK. I am using Direct Recording like I did previously when everything worked perfectly. The TV Guide also works.

I should probably mention that I have also installed a Sony NetMD device this past weekend and I'm having some problems with the USB interface not functioning correctly. I suspect that this has interfered with the GBPVR program in some way but I'm not sure what to look for.

Does anyone have any suggestions about where to start with this?

Paul

Hi Sub,

In EPG, the "|<<" and ">>|" remote keys are used to change the displayed day at the same hour, can you use the "<<" and ">>" keys to slip 2h ?

Thanks.
