  Channel order from XMLTV
Posted by: gplasky - 2004-01-12, 11:38 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Whenu using XMLTV and bringing it into your program I notce the channel numers are in order 1,2,3,4 but the Channel listings are in the order 10,11,12,13......28,29,2,30,31. The only way I can fix it is manually changing the channel numbers. Does anyone else have this issue? U.S. listings I am using.

  009 release
Posted by: colin - 2004-01-12, 12:09 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hey Sub,

results based on you changes:

- Fixed a bug with file starting with \ in m3u playlists
Never had this problem for some reason? Maybe depends on what patches, etc. is installed on your machine

- Ctrl-B (or blue remote button) toggles between icon and list view in the media libraries

Ctrl-B works, blue button does not.

- Added *.vob to the filter string of the video media.

Yip, this works. Generated a new dvd structure using TmpgEnc DVD author and GB-PVR plays it. Well lets face it, it is an mpeg2 of sortsSmile

- Fixed the bug with playing music then playing a video. Caused white box with red cross to appear

Yip, fixed - thanks.

- Small correction to apifix.dll that may help livetv stability.

Live tv is getting better. Think we need to figure out a better debug method to help you narrow down the root of the problem.

All in all, a pretty stable release. Nice!

Colin.

  Client Server Support :)
Posted by: pocketmoon - 2004-01-11, 08:51 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (5)

Hi,

Client/ Server support would be great. I have an HTPC setup with the PVR250 on a server tucked away in my study.

It would be cool to stream live TV (with PVR type functionality) from the server to the (mini itx) client.

Cheers

  v0.0.9 BETA available for download
Posted by: sub - 2004-01-11, 07:29 PM - Forum: NextPVR Announcements - Replies (26)

The next release (v0.0.9) is now available for download from http://www.gbpvr.com/Setup009.exe

The principal changes are:

2003-1-11 v0.0.9
- Fixed a bug that was stopping folder.jpg being used in the media libraries.
- Fixed a bug with file starting with \ in m3u playlists
- Ctrl-B (or blue remote button) toggles between icon and list view in the media libraries
- Now showing more (also smaller) items/icons in icon view of the music library. These are now closer to the aspect ration of album covers
- Added *.vob to the filter string of the video media. Successfully played a dvd .vob off my hard drive without any other modification. Surely there is more to it. You'll need to use something like some like DVD Shrink to extract to HDD, with correct language otherwise its luck of the draw. (obviously wont work with Intervideo NonCSS decoder, and PVR350 - sorry)
- Fixed the bug with playing music then playing a video. Caused white box with red cross to appear.
- Corrected a bug that was causing MediaMVP not to reshow the menus after video playback completed.
- Corrected a bug with MP3 playback on the MediaMVP.
- Small correction to apifix.dll that may help livetv stability.
- Lots of other small things.

  Motion menus
Posted by: AndyCherry - 2004-01-11, 10:19 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

This might need a bit more thought to it (as it would it be bl**dy irritating!Wink

Given that the menus are an OSD in front of black.mpg, could you have a different mpeg specified, and only render the buttons required on top of it (I think this is similar to the way DVD navigators work).

You'd probably only want to do this with the main menu but it would be nice [Image: cool.gif]

Andy

  Background music option for menus
Posted by: AndyCherry - 2004-01-11, 10:16 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

The ability to add background music to menus would be nice - this could be configured in the config app with an option to turn off in the main app.

  Clarification about mutltiple cards
Posted by: Myro - 2004-01-10, 07:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi, great little program.

I have more than one PVR-250. I read the quick start guide. But it doesn't say if I have to define inputs for all my cards or only one?

Also, can GBpvr support more than one recording at the same time?

Finally, about the buffer. If I do back to back recordings and I stated a buffer, what will happen? Will the 2nd recording start at the right time and the 1st one cut short? Or the 2nd be cancelled?

Thanks

Myro  :-)

Resume video only works when hitting "esc"
Posted by: AndyCherry - 2004-01-10, 06:38 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I don't know if this is as designed, but the resume from pause feature (which is great by the way) on the video library only works if you have used the "esc" key to exit the video - if you bring up the OSD and click "Menu", you don't get the resume prompt next time you start the video.

If it is by design, is there a remote control button to press that is the equivalent of "esc"?

Cheers,
Andy

  Australian cable TV
Posted by: Lurgen - 2004-01-10, 05:03 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

Are there any plans to introduce colour-map inversion support (on a per-channel basis) to facilitate tuning Australian cable-TV? This is the one key feature of JovePlayer and BeyondTV that is missing for us Aussies.

I'm thinking of something similar to what DScaler and HNCPlus do (only neither of these products supports my PVR-350).

Remote control control has stopped working...
Posted by: AndyCherry - 2004-01-09, 07:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I've just realised somewhere with release 0.0.8 I seem to have lost GBPVR control of the remote control - if I switch IR.EXE back on it works, but without it on it doesn't.

Cheers,
Andy
