Ive scheduled some recordings for a 30 min slot on the planner but its only recorded a couple of mins of it, anyone have any ideas what could cause this?
On a new scan of Astra satellite channels, I'm seeing some channels (e.g. BBC 1 HD) appearing multiple times.
It looks like they're on the same frequency/polarisation but with different SIDs.
So I have two channels showing such as
Freq:10847/V/23000 SID:6941
Freq:10847/V/23000 SID:6951
If I merge, only the Freq:10847/V/23000 SID:6951 one seems to be retained.
If scan again, the scan shows Freq:10847/V/23000 SID:6941 as a new channel to be added
If I merge again, it looks like only the Freq:10847/V/23000 SID:6941 is retained this time (i.e. it looks like only the last cannel added is retained, over writing what exists on that frequency)
Is this supposed to happen (i.e. you can't have two sources for a channel on the same frequency)?
During a recent holiday, my NPVR server decided to die (Overheated power supply due to seized fan :mad
On return home I replaced the power unit and decided as the "better half" wasn't expecting service, I would take the opportunity to rescan all the Satellite and terrestrial channels for changes.
1st thing I discovered was the 0282 Astra tuning file is out of date and unfortunately http://satellites-xml.eu is down due to their own system crash
I also found the Terrestrial Granada Winter Hill file not quite right too.
After manually editing the tuning files, I decided to clear all channels from the tuners and start with a clean re-scan.
After the rescan, I selected the channels I wanted and of course, have duplicates between Satellite & terrestrial so merged them and set channel numbers to the order I wanted.
Selected update EPG and got......absolutely no EPG data
Ok now onto checking EPG setup. I noted that all the channels were showing an EPG source of "None" So went into Bulk Map and changed the 1st channel to "Freesat".
I get no option to copy to the other channels. If I click OK, the channel goes back to saying EPG Source "None"
So I now set the channel singularly to "Freesat" in the main Channels setting area, click OK. It remembers that.
Back to Bulk Map. Tried changing the 1st channel to DVB/ATSC. Don't get any option to copy to other channels. Click OK. Now the EPG Source has been set back to "None"
So far every option I've tried for Bulk Map doesn't work.
I've not included logs because there's nothing in there relating to the mapping nor any errors.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug? Didn't really want to set EPG source manually for every channel.
hi
im looking at buying one of these (hauppauge colossus 2) to use with a sky box in the uk. i was hopeing, i can use this with npvr and be able to see all the sky channels on the tv guide as well as other channels. also, being able to select and veiw via npvr. would any body be able to help me ?
I have searched everywhere and can't find an answer. So I have my media center running a 3.0 dual core e8400. It has my colossus 2 pvr in where I run nextpvr. Everything runs great locally buy whe outside my network it play for 2-8 min then buffers. I have tried on fast wifi and fast LTE where I got 50mbps down and 20 up and still dose this. Would this mean that computer is to slow for streaming, any ideas would be good?
Any one got any ideas, when I schedule a recording within the next hour or 2 it all works fine, anything longer than that and it just says recording failed. I keep Npvr open and have set my pc not to sleep.
I haveing problems with live vhd channels freezeing all the time. The video plays and then freezes then keeps playing and keeps doing this without improvement. I have check the m3u on vlc and the fhd channels work fine.
Hello,
I seem to not be able to use ipvanish with Nextpvr. I am trying to use the VPN from off site when logging into Nextpvr to stream content. I am only successful when I turn off the VPN.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thank you for you time,
Bruce
I have NPVR running on a Minix mini-pc attached to my TV. I use it to view my IPTV subscription. Apart from a few minor issues (ghosting of old groups which I tried to resolve via the patch that sub kindly produced) it has been working well.
All of a sudden however (possibly at the same time that I tried to use the patch, but not 100% certain), the IPTV streams have really started stuttering (slow to start up, pausing all the time).
It has to do with the NPVR set up on this Minix machine as (a) the streams work perfectly well on the same machine in another application and (b) The streams work perfectly well via the NPVR that I have set up on my laptop (the "test bed" for my setup).
I tried to do a total rebuild of NPVR on the mini-pc (uninstall, delete the /Public/NPVR files, download, reconfiguration) just in case I did something wrong when applying the patch. The problem still remains.
Alas, therefore, I have to ask if any of you clever people can spot the problem by looking at the logs.
Thanks for reading this and thanks for any help you can give.
