I know most people have pretty decent internet, but up here in Canada we typically have very poor upload speeds. That being said I just switched over to fiber and am now am extremely happy with my 300 mbit down and up.
So with the pile of excess bandwidth I am looking to steam the best possible quality over the internet. Is there any sittings that I can change within the program or on the config file to increase the quality and use more bandwidth.
My Server setup:
PVR device is a Hauppauge HD-PVR 2 ( http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/...dpvr2.html ) connects to my cable box through an HDMI cable. The computer is designated solely to the setup is a HP zbook G3
The Client is a Rasberry pi 3B+ with kodi installed running nextpvr and the other client is a decent computer also running kodi with nextpvr installed.
Please don't get me wrong I am very happy with the quality right now, but I am just checking to see if anyone has any ideas I have not thought of to creep up that quality. Thank you very much and I hope to chat soon.
Hi im trying to scan for new channels. as im have this error when selecting a free sat channel "unable to comucate with recording service" i have the same problem withmy had home run free view but i believe that another problem with home run software/ fire wall. back to frre sat, when i search for new channels it just says "starting device" for ages and goes no futher. i have had my sat dish moved and re aligned via a sat dish engineer and should be working fine. i have attched my logs
I had set a show to record live tv on CBS (KGAN, 9:57pm-10:03pm), I turned on the live tv feed of the show (and eventually tried to go into video > files, to watch the show), nextpvr status showed t the show appeared to continue recording, but unfortunately only a 1 minute 45 seconds recorded. I was not sure if this was a one time glitch or something else.
I purchased the android app for my android box and for the most part it works just fine. One thing that still isn't working is the playing of live IPTV channels by the client app. I can record these channels just fine using the server but if I try to play them live using the app I get the 'repeat every x seconds' problem. OTA channels from my SD Quattro play just fine on the app. I remember you had a problem with that on the server at one time and solved it. Any chance a solution will be provided for the android app?
One issue I'm hoping this will help other NPVR users.
Is there a way to inject a customized EPG data file into NPVR?
Often times EPG data downloaded ends up scrambling and assigning the shows to the wrong channel. So I end up clearing the EPG data constantly to fix it.
I think a better option might be to create your own EPG data and inject it manually and avoid using the EPG Auto Update and keeping it permanently disabled.
How would one create their own EPG data similar to the Zap2it TV style produces or one that NPVR understands?
Can NVPR support a ASCII text type of injection standard so it can be modified by the user before injection using Notepad or even EDIT.COM?
Since the EPG data also describes the name of the TV show I'd like to add the Channel Station Prefix manually in front of the TV show name so it's more clear of the source channel of the recording rather than just the TV show title and time marker.
Since I know what shows are statically occurring and never changing can NVPR prevent auto updates of specifics time slots from getting overwritten or replaced when using EPG Auto Update?
Examples are some Morning News which remains constant day to day the same hours so I don't see the need for EPG data to overwrite these time slots as sometimes it can't find the show and remains blank or mistakingly mixes up the channel lineup.
1) Purchased subscription.
2) Added lineup to Schedules Direct (USWest in my case)
3) Added channels to entries in Devices->HDHR DCR-2650/HDHR Prime
4) Listings populate properly when I update the EPG
4) When I try to watch tv, I get error message: Unable to find capture device.
The premium channels work fine on the HDHomerun Windows 10 App
Can anyone assist with how to move files from my NextPVR VM to my main NAS drive?
Here is how i have MCEBuddy
Recordings\%showname%\Season %season%##\%showname% - S%season%##E%episode%## - %episodename%
But it creates a folder with the enitre recording name like the recent big bang theory is
\Media\Recordings\The.Big.Bang.Theory.S12E06.The.Imitation.Perturbation\Season\The.Big.Bang.Theory.S12E06.The.Imitation.Perturbation - SE -
Greetings. I'm new to NextPVR and have been playing around with NextPVR as the TV server for my DVB-C input.
Setup:
1. OS: Win 10 Pro
2. USB DVB-T/T2/C+FM+DAB/DAB+
3. Astrometa Drivers installed: AMDVBT2 BDA Driver 170427 and AMDVBT2 BDA driver for DVBC Build 170427
4. Applications: TVR 4.8.0 and DVBC TVR 4.8.0
DVB-T2 Tests:
1. Plugged in the DVB-T2 antenna and run TVR, able to scan the channels on DVB-T2 and play.
2. Use NextPVR as the TV server software, able to scan the channels on DVB-T2 and play.
DVB-C Tests:
1. Connect the USB dongle to cable tv port and run DVBC TVR, able to scan the channels on DVB-C and play
2. Use NextPVR as the TV server software, UNABLE to scan any channels on the DVB-C
3. Created a tuning file (attached Singapore - Starhub.zip) under Tuning -> DVB-C folder, still unable to scan any channels
4. Attached is the npvr log.
