I noticed that NextPVR was displaying the wrong artwork for one of the new-ish shows: Rise. So I tried deleting the image files and Rise-catalog.xml from the Media\Shows folder. Then I forced NextPVR to load artwork by calling http://localhost:8866/services/service?m...scape=true. (Using a recording_id for a recorded Rise episode.)

(I would have posted the .zip of the whole logs folder that NextPVR generated, but it is too large to upload here. So I have just uploaded the relevant web.log file.)

And it downloads image files and creates a new rise-catalog.xml file. But the Description and Epsiodes in the rise-catalog.xml file are from the wrong show:

Over the years I've had a few instances were I would notice a stream running in the tray icon, maybe once every 6 months or so. Not a big deal. The culprit has always been a Kodi live TV stream that had been stopped on the client, but continued to run in NextPVR. To stop it I've just stopped the service and restarted and everything was back to normal.

However, in the last week or so I've had it happen twice. Now the strange part, the last 2 times this happened I've stopped the service with the menu shortcut and when I've tried to use the shortcut to restart it it appears to restart (tray icon comes back) but the service is really not running (web interface etc not working). The only way I've been able to get it back running normally is to completely reboot the PC. I think NRecord.log.3 may have some clues, but I'm way outside my knowledge zone... There's been no changes to any of my client hardware (not even updates) or network in over a year other than updating NextPVR at the beginning of March to 4.1.0 so I'm knda at a loss.

I downloaded the app late last week and had a play over the weekend. Seems to work well with my Oneplus 5T phone, though perhaps there's something not quite right with the aspect ratio on an 18:9 screen, the pause and stop buttons and timeline go onto two lines at the bottom of the screen in landscape orientation.

Also, is there a way to skip/reverse in the app? This would be a very useful feature as it is used a lot in our house in NPVR, both short and long skips.

But overall great to see this come to fruition. Nice work @sub!

Hello there. I recently installed nextpvr(4.1 latest version) on my windows 10 pc, and am using IPTV. Playing and viewing live tv via tv guide works well, however i am having trouble recording. Setting the recording works, as i am able to select a show to record, however the problem lies in the playback. Whenever i try to play a recorded tv, it skips part of the show, and "blips" all throughout the duration of the video. I do not believe this is a network issue, as my home network is stable and my iptv provider streams are strong as well. The files are considerably small for a 1 hour 720p show (only 100-200 mb). I tried installing next pvr on my windows 7 machine, and recordings work flawlessly over same network and iptv provider. I have took the following measures to ensure the recordings work :

I have installed Lav Decoders as instructed on your site

I replaced my Nshared.dll with the newest version as discussed on another thread

I disabled auto sleep in windows to prevent nextpvr from shutting down

Using the new IPTV features (very nice), I can view shows, and record shows works well. Sometimes the NextPvr service shows the recording continuing after the scheduled completion time and won’t allow deletion of the recorded file.
I use Comskip and after the recording has finished; I have no issue with tuner cards recording, just does not remove commercials from IPTV recordings.
My concern is we have a service which gives you 5 ip’s and if the recording gets stuck, we may run out of ip’s and get booted.

The problem occurred around 9 AM today. I was able to delete the file this time by turning off ComSkip before recording.

A little help please. Could you explain how Bulk Remap is supposed to work on the Settings / Channels screen? I have 1,000+ channels in the m3u file from my IPTV provider, and I wanted to clear out the first 100 or so by changing their channel numbers from 1 to 2001, 2 to 2002, etc. Is it possible to add 2000 to the channel numbers of a selected set of channels? That would then enable me to give channel numbers to the ones I really care about in the 1-100 range.

Alternatively, is it possible to control how channel numbers are assigned when setting up a new Device (e.g. start numbering from 101)?

When I connect to npvr with my phone I see two channel icons that are missing on the channels page. But when I select the channel the channel icon shows up. Here are a couple screen grabs.

It is always the same channels that are missing every time I connect. The strange thing is that on my tablet it is missing a different icon, and one that shows up on my phone. I have tried emptying and updating the guide in npvr and restarting, clearing the data on the andriod app, and uninstalling and re-installing the app, and it shows the same icons missing on both devices.

Any ideas?

I have three RPi devices running LibreElec v8.2.4 (Kodi 17.6). I will start a recorded show on one TV, then move to another room and try to resume the show. However, I have to disable and re-enable the NextPVR plugin and have it re-down load the EPG channels and content before I can resume the show on the different TV.

This is not new. I posted something similar to this a couple of years ago when I first started using NextPVR. If I remember correctly, the answer was to try X-Newa, but I could never get it to work, so I've always stuck with the default NextPVR plugin.

I don't know if there is a setting somewhere that I need to adjust, or to set or to tweak? Something within either Kodi, the plugin or on the NextPVR server? I would think that there should be a daemon somewhere that runs that would keep checking in with the server to see if there are any updates. Perhaps there is something that I need to enable? Its just getting old having to disable/re-enable the plugin, so I can resume watching what I was watching.
