Would be great if the app had the ability to allow the user to select direct play, therefore turning off the transcoding and letting the device do all the heavily lifting (if required). Most modern android devices should allow h.264 & mpeg decoding without taxing it too much.
Our TV network provider Ziggo broadcasts the full EPG of every possible channel on each channel. So for a full EPG update I only need NextPVR to scan one channel/frequency for one minute. I've tested this by emptying the EPG from the Settings window, selecting one channel on the Channels section and push the "Update EPG" button. This gives me a full guide for all my channels. So technically this works fine. My wish is to have the option in Settings -> Misc2 to select a specific channel for the auto update EPG.
Just switched from W7/Media Center to W10/NPVR full-time...sorry for my influx of questions lately. Hopefully this will be the last.
I haven't found definitive instructions (at least to me) about setting up NPVR as a server. So, is it as simple as choosing the "Clients" tab, checking "Enable Web Server" and "Allow Remote Access", and choosing a web server port (80, 22, whatever...), and opening the port in my router and firewall? I believe that I read somewhere to also change the Username, Password, and PIN. Is this all correct?
From there, how exactly do I connect my client(s)? I have another desktop and laptop I would like to access the main NPVR server from. Do I just enter the same Access PIN and Username/Password? At what point would I specify the IP address and port for the server? Any clarification is appreciated, as the wiki is a vague.
Thanks!
Also, on another note, is there a way to edit the size of the font for Recorded Show descriptions and Movie descriptions? Reading it from 2 feet away on the PC is fine, but once it's on the TV it would be easier to read if I could make it larger.
Really like the improvements to version 4.1.0 especially the ability to remove channel numbers in the TV guide. I was wondering if there was a way to remove them from the smaller guide as well. I tried leaving them blank but the program wont let me do this so they are now listed 1 though 70 which confuses guest's since they are not in the correct order. My cable company has the channels scattered in a random order so I did this intentionally to group channels together such as all the sports, news, local programming etc. I know you have more serious issues to work on or fix and this isn't that important but if you get a chance and there is a way to accomplish this I would appreciate any information on how. Thank you.
Hi. The channels ITV 2 HD and ITV 4 HD currently do not have any audio when I attempt to watch them live in NextPVR. A message comes on the screen which says:
"Missing audio? You don't have a MPEG-1 decoder selected. You can fix this on the Settings->Decoders screen."
However, on the Settings->Decoders screen, I have 'LAV Audio Decoder' set for all of the Audio Decoder types, including MPEG1 Audio. Plus, ITV 1 HD and ITV 3 HD play just fine, with audio. Any idea what the problem might be?
Hi all,
I use android box to watch iptv via stb emulator, want to know how to use this to record my favorite show? just download from play store and install?
Thank you
I have been recording no problem at all on NEXTPVR , The thing is i want to record one at 9pm to 10pm and 10pm to 11pm same channel .
The thing is the 9pm to 10pm records fine showing 1hr there or abouts . But the 10pm to 11pm shows about 22hrs length . I have tried putting post padding and pre padding to 0 but still happens or am i doing something wrong ?
Sorry sub, you must be getting fed up with these
I had great success with the recently departed supplier.... So I thought I'd try another source.
However I get the dreaded "unable to connect to capture device"
I attach logs, but I can't see anything with respect to IPTV.
I had a peek in the database and the tuning info contains two lines (also visible in settings, channels)
It has two lines - first is an http://xxxxxxxxxxxx/1234.m3u8?
and the second token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If I paste the first line into a browser I get {"message":"Authentication Required"}
however if I join the two strings together in a browser I get what I would expect - a stream.
The snag with lack of logs is not being able to see what is being sent........
sorry to trouble you,
martin
p.s. patched with 2nd nshared.dll you uploaded signed 2april 02:36
I'm getting the "failed to connect , make sure NEXTpvr is running" message.
I can access NEXTpvr via the IP address, in my case 192.168.0.11:8866 (From a desktop (my ip is 192.168.0.8 in the logs) and from an android (my ip is 192.168.0.140 in the logs)
I've disabled firewall and tried. I have tried on 3 different Androids devices, including version 4.4.4 and 6.0.1.
The IP request from the Android version 6.0.1 is 192.168.0.140 and NRecord.log shows
Quote:2018-04-03 11:16:59.138 [DEBUG][4] OnStart() complete...
2018-04-03 11:17:18.389 [DEBUG][13] Received broadcast from 192.168.0.140:44682 :
DISCOVER_REQUEST
2018-04-03 11:17:18.389 [DEBUG][13] Waiting for broadcast
. Not sure if that is the attempt.
Not sure if this has anything to do with my network settings or not. I can access my shared folders via Android with ES File Explorer so not sure why if it is a network or firewall issue. I do run a VPN client but have even disabled it and tried.
I've cleared the data and cache for the APP and restarted. I've tried over several days.
