When I connect to NPVR from a remote location with my phone or tablet, no fan art is displayed for my recordings. When I connect internally the fan art is displayed ok.
Installed NextPVR on a sff HP with a core 2duo and after a little playing around it's rock solid. Thought it would be better in the roomier case of the HP tower i5 3470, so I installed there. Both machines use identical Hauppauge usb dual tuner devices. On the tower NPVR jerks and freezes when I change the channel. Sometimes it catches up quickly and sometimes not. Worst on hd channels. I've only recorded one show and NPVR plays it, but if I try to skip forward I run into the same freeze and jerk issue, so I'm assuming the conflict is not really with the tuners. Wintv plays the recording without issue. I'm using Nvidia Geforce 710 cards in both machines and they're configured the same. Not the newest driver, but same driver in both machines. I think I uploaded the zipfile. Sorry there's no method to the usage, but I've just been trying things and starting and shutting it down.
I noticed a "funny" this morning: the EPG listings for one channel (ITV3) were blank "(no show details)" from today until the end of time (well, for the next 7 days!) but various other channels on the same mux (eg ITV, Channel 4) had listings. I know that there have been changes with ITV3 moving from one mux to another, but I've had listings and used them to record since then.
I've righted the problem by going to Settings | Channels | Update EPG, but I'm curious as to how just one channel could have no listings, without it affecting other channels that get their off-air listings from the same mux.
I first noticed it after I upgraded from 4.1.0 to 4.1.1 just now. I'm not sure whether it existed before that, but I last made a recording (and so used the EPG) on 6 April.
I've attached log files in case it's something that needs to be looked into.
Since my MSI
TV@nywhere and M791-B show no pins on the crossbar the only thing I can find new analog for under a $100 is the WinTV-1265 for about $65 The 1265 has replaced the 1150. Does anybody if the 1265 usually works with NPVR most of the time or not.
It would be on an S-Video fixed channel - Spectrum Cable. (TWC)

It's hard to find success stories, unless I missed them.
Hello guys if had a problem that's been plaguing me since thanksgiving of last year and for the life of me i cant figure it out. so far iv tried everything i can think of, if even gone as far as completely removing nextpvr and reloading it, same with the cable card. at this point im not sure if its software or hardware. i did swap the tv tuner card for my spare and got the same result, i don't have a spare for the cable card it self and i suspect this could be the issue.
what happened was, i was watching the thanksgiving parade when the image and sound froze in kodi, then i got (tuner no longer available), I use it in windows and android. i do not use nextpvrs viewer but i did try it with no success.
The nextpvr icon on my host server turns red when i tune to a channel. someone please help me find a rime or reason for this issue before I smash it with an axe.
I'd like to know if someone can explain something about Devices shown in the Settings.
The following screenshot shows devices for both NextPVR and WinTV while watching and recording a program with WinTV:
It can be seen that both device lists show "Hauppauge HD-PVR2 Gaming Edition Plus."
I next used NextPVR to view and record live TV and snapped the following screenshot:
It can now be seen that the device lists are different. Where does the "Hauppauge Siena Crossbar:1" device come from?
I then closed NextPVR and re-launched it, and got the following screenshot in Settings->Devices:
NextPVR is back to showing the "Hauppauge HD-PVR2 Gaming Edition Plus" device.
Finally, I opened Device Status from the tray and took this last screenshot:
Two NextPVR device lists showing different devices! Settings->Status does show the same device list as shown from the tray launch.
I think I need to do a little more testing to try an better characterize this situation.
Can someone help me understand this? At one point, with NextPVR showing the "...Gaming Edition Plus" device and not the crossbar, I could view live TV but received an error about "...no available tuner..." when I used ctl-k to begin recording. NextPVR usually just creates a new save stream that is split off from the live TV stream. I'm trying to make sure that NextPVR always loads the Siena device so that I can view and record simultaneously.
A gremlin seems to have snuck into one of the (I think) recent builds, whereby if the show title is > X characters long (X is unknown), it doesn't display the show title in the recording screen.
Please post any support issues in the support forum. Support questions posted in this thread will be deleted.
This is a fairly minor release. It is largely just a roll up of patches already posted.
Changes:
Quote:- further IPTV improvements
- performance improvements to the Settings->Channels, and Channel Groups screens when dealing with huge lists of channels.
- fixed issue where channel icons weren't showing in Kodi
- fixed issue that could cause an exception when changing between channels on different sources
- fixed issue where Android app could incorrectly report that it failed to connect to NextPVR when the users pin code was different than the default 0000
- fixed issue with using "-direct" command line while specifying a Default Startup activity other than 'Main Menu'.
- fixed obfuscated logging for one type of IPTV provider, that was logging plain text urls
- now flag Kodi to reload the recordings when a playback position has changed for a recording (so that you could resume on another kodi client etc)
- on the 'show details' popup, shows with long descriptions are now split into multiple parts, and you can press left/right to move between them. (previously it was just clipped at whatever would fit in the available space)
- fixed issue where artwork from Schedules Direct would sometimes not be used.
I am using latest NPVR with latest nshared.dll and Kodi 18 latest nightly build on Android (20180408) with next PVR kodi addon, and after some time channel play hangs.
Kodi log shows it is retrying to read from socket and NPVR log shows:

The terrestrial television system in our country switches from DVB-T MPEG-2 format to DVB-T2 HEVC/H.265. When I try to watch TV channels encoded by HEVC/H.265 using NextPVR, there are a short random glitches in the audio.
I have the latest LAV decoders for both video and audio. When watching live TV in KODI + NextPVR plugin or in other Windows PVR software the audio plays smoothly.
