First I would like to say thank you for adding the on demand section, this took care of an issue of having movies only showing to be 30 minutes long. I have yet to get it to work as every time I attempt to play a movie it states the stream is taking to long to start. Is there a setting to make it wait a bit longer? I am using Ace-tv.
Just wondering what time I should expect for tuning channels. Running NPVR on a Win 10 PC with DVB-S tuner card, it takes about 7-8 seconds to tune to the first channel selected from the TV Guide, is that good, bad, typical ?
I am using Kodi 17.6 on an Nvidia Shield hardwired network. I have noticed when I pause than start again I will see lips moving for about 5 seconds before sound starts again.
Greetings - I've just moved from Windows Media Center to NextPVR - all went pretty smooth.
I have a pretty basic question (so no logs attached). I use a 2.4Ghz wireless mouse to control the pc so try to do everything with that. Can pull out the wireless keyboard if needed but day to day it's not required. In the EPG, the mouse moves around the grid just fine, mouse wheel move the channel's listed in the grid just fine. However - there doesn't seem to be a way, with a mouse, to move the grid left or right through time. Is that correct or am I just missing something?
Cursor keys on the keyboard will do but as I said I don't usually have that at hand. I did pick up a Minix Neo 2 Lite air mouse and will try that out but it's going to take some tinkering.
I have not live streamed TV from NextPVR to Kodi since before I upgraded to latest NextPVR version. Now when I try, I get an error that tuner is no longer available. Restarting NRecord seems to fix it, though that does not guarantee it isn't a driver issue I guess. Attaching logs, though I can find no smoking gun. Thanks.
Before I start digging into Windows and spending hours doing so, does anyone have an idea as to why all of the plugins would quit on my client? One day they were working, then they weren't. I use the movie, weather and internet radio plugins and have never had this problem beforel All other NPVR activities are working normally. I'm hoping someone will have a thought that will be extremely obvious as soon as I see it. One can always hope!
New user here. Just installed it tonight. Pretty simple to get up and running on both the server and client. So far, so good.
I'm coming from Snapstream BeyondTV. It's worked faithfully for 15 years (!), but has lost some reliability. Given they dropped support years ago, I'm finally giving up.
So my first question. I have thousands of shows recorded in BTV. I'd like to import them as proper shows, not just videos. They're all in AVI format, but with intact BTV metadata.
I've searched, but without success. Seems fairly simple to do, conceptually. Is there an existing utility?
Thanks to all. I have more questions, but this is a bit of a showstopper.
I use the DVB/ATSC EPG source for updating the EPG. It works great other than it takes like 10-15 mins to update. During the update I'm locked out of watching Live TV however and if I'm already watching TV when the update is scheduled it will fail and not update. Is this by design? My tuner card has 2 TV tuners so it seems one could be used for updating the EPG and the other could still watch live TV?
I upgraded yesterday to 4.0.5 and now the system does not play anything. WinTV8 works fine, i can see that the card and service is working. But, when I go into NPVR and try to play any live TV, I just get a black screen. I am unable to do any settings, and it is locked up. I have to kill the program, and at that point i get a .NET framework error.
Attached are the NVPR.log, the text to the .NET error, and a screen shot of the .NET error.
