  Log Rolling
Posted by: Wetwhere - 2017-08-09, 08:09 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

Hi All,

Is there a setting to prevent log rolling? It seems that NPVR only keeps the last three or so log files. I'd like NPVR either to keep many more than three logs OR keep all the logs in one continuous file and I will manage rolling the logs.

Thank you,
WW

  EPG not updating and weirdness
Posted by: Wetwhere - 2017-08-09, 08:05 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (5)

Hello All,

I have two issues that I'm hoping you guys can help me with.

First, NPVR wakes the PC at 14:40 every day to update the EPG from Schedule Direct as I have configured it, however, it never actually performs the update and doesn't execute the UpdateEPG.bat script. When I update the EPG manually, it updates the EPG and executes the UpdateEPG.bat file. Please see a section from my BatchProcessing.log which I've annotated.

Second, NPVR wakes up the HTPC in the evening every day during the same time window and sometimes early in the morning, but for no reason I can fathom. It also wakes up to record things fine. Please see the log below.

Code:

I am running 4.0.4 right not, but the situation was the same on 3.9.6 (I believe that was the last release) on a WIndows 10 Pro desktop.

Thank you very much,

4.0.4 WEB Modern player - setting button is non-functional
Posted by: scJohn - 2017-08-09, 08:02 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Clicking on the setting button when playing live/or recorded file does nothing. In previous version a popup window would appear allowing you to set the streaming rate.

Putting the Chrome browser in development mode(F12) revealed the following error when clicking on the setting button:

  Web Server [Compilation Error]
Posted by: GaryJ73167 - 2017-08-09, 02:36 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Hi All,

I have ALWAYS been able to accoess the web server inside of my network and outside. I am familiar with networking, forwarding ports, static IP's,...etc...etc..... so I believe I have a pretty good handle on what needs to be done.

I bought a new computer last week and set everything up as it was on the old PC (with a fresh install). All works well with the exception of the web server. Whether I am inside my house our outside. I get the following page displayed in my browser when trying to access. Any ideas?

[COLOR="#FF0000"]Server Error in '/' Application.

4.0.4 Leaving Off Video-Metadata on HDHomeRun Prime Recordings
Posted by: ChaosMageX - 2017-08-09, 01:09 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (5)

I upgraded from version 3.6.6 just a few hours ago, and I'm already noticing a problem with the video files recorded from my SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime. They are still playable in both the Kodi client and in video playing software, but they're missing their meta-data, the stuff you see in the details section of the file's properties. This lack of meta-data causes the Windows file explorer to severely lag whenever viewing a folder containing these videos that lack their meta-data.

As a simple example, this is an episode of King of the Hill that I recorded yesterday with version 3.6.6:

And this is an episode of King of the Hill that I recorded just tonight with version 4.0.4:

Notice how the video meta-data is missing in the file properties, which causes the Windows file explorer to lag whenever I attempt to view the contents of the folder containing the video file.

This doesn't happen with recordings I make on the over-the-air HDHomeRun Connect tuners, just the ones made with the cable HDHomeRun Prime tuner.

delete "Bidston": correct name is "Sunningdale", even though there isn't a place of this name marked on the Ordnance Survey map and the transmitter is actually at Bidston!

delete "Glenmaye(PSB only)": renamed to "Glenmaye" - no other "Freeview Lite" transmitter (3 muxes rather than normal 6 or 8) has this fact listed in the name

Final batch coming soon - then I'll have FINISHED :-)

4.0.4 new demux only 1 second of video
Posted by: Elmo Putney - 2017-08-08, 06:34 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (15)

Just upgraded - with the new demux I get less than 1 second of video before I get darkness - happens on SD or HD. I've only updated NPVR nothing else, it's all ok if I use legacy setting. -any ideas?

Logs show about 5 seconds of HD live tv then about the same of SD tv.

  WEB API GuidService/Listing question(s)
Posted by: scJohn - 2017-08-08, 02:05 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (6)

I am trying to familiarize myself with the WEB API using Swagger.

When I try API/Public/GuideService/Listing with all of the parameters set to default, I do not get any listing back. Just an empty Listing [] array. I was expecting listings for all channels for the next 3 hours. See the first 2 attached images.

I then tried adding a ChannelID and got back an error message about bad query string ... Key: Value: /n??. See the 3rd and 4th attached images. I verified the ChannelID by running API/Public/GuidService/Channels.

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Thanks.

Delete "Waltom le Dale" - corrected typo to "Walton le Dale"

Delete "Storeton" - split into English and Welsh versions (as for Caldbeck) because it's one transmitter that broadcasts two versions of some of the multiplexes
