I have X-NEWA auto running from Kodi on my Pi and it all works well apart from the "Resume" function. When selecting this, I am returned to the recordings menu. I am sure it used to work but have noticed this lately.
It doesn't seem to matter if the resume point is created from the server (which works as expected) or from the client. It's not a biggy, just a bit annoying as this client is in the bedroom and it's helpful to pick up where you left off.
Any help appreciated. Logs attached. (These are from the server. Not sure if there are any on the client that might be needed?)
Comskip was working well and all of a sudden it stopped running along with the TV guide script I use to update the TV guide. I checked the EDL file and it is empty.
Anyone know if this has something to do with the major "Windows 10" update Microsoft put out last December? I had problems with Networking and mapping Network Drives in Nextpvr that I found out were a result of the update.
I was getting server errors when I tried to access the web interface. I could see the EPG, but some of the other options gave error messages, so I accepted the prompt in the Windows application to upgrade to v3.9.2. I'm running it on Windows 7, with a Blackgold DVB-T2 tuner.
Following the upgrade I got still errors when trying to run the web server, so I downloaded and installed the 3.9.2. release again (without uninstalling my existing software, so that it would retain my settings). Now I get no errors from the web server, but I can't seem to update my EPG data. When I choose the option to update the EPG from the settings application it seems to run (and takes a few minutes), but when I view the EPG from either the web GUI or the Windows application it is blank.
Have an odd thing happening recently. Playback of recordings made by npvr are locking up if I try to advance through the video. I can go to Recordings and start playback, but if I hit fast forward or click on the progress bar to change the position of playback forward, it just stops playing as if it is paused. the only way to start playback again is to click an earlier point in the video on the progress bar or to click the |< button.
I'm using npvr 3.9.2 (161119) on windows 10 with silicon dust hdhomerun tuners (ATSC OTA recording only). This is happening using either CyberLink Video/SP Decoder or Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder for MPEG2 Video. I can't recall making any changes to my npvr config for the last few releases and I can't really say when this started as I don't often use npvr for playback. I can say last time I was using it playback was working fine. Who knows what Windows might have updated
BTW, The files recorded by npvr play just fine using the built-in windows 10 "Movies & TV" player and I have no problem clicking anywhere in the progress bar to move the time position in the video file. The files also play just fine using other play back clients.
Would anybody have a suggestion at what I might check/correct to resolve the player issue? Logs attached.
Hi.
Sometimes a show recording gets messed up by pre-empting, the cable-box turned off (Hauppage) or weather conditions (HDHomerun) or some such. I would love to be able to choose re-record and it would schedule to record that episode again.
Right now I have to manually find that episode/movie/whatever in the TV Listings and quick record it.
Ugh, I am pulling my hair out here and REAALLY hope that some can assist
I have been using NPVR without issue for over a year now. I never had an issue (except for the initial setup, and, this forum assisted me with that).
So, I just updated to the latest software. I am using windows 10 64bit. Now, once I updated, when going to view live TV, it is just a black screen. I may even be able to live without live TV because I use this primarily to make recordings, but, it wont even record. I get a filename that is ZERO bites in size.
I have rebooted MULTIPLE times, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, reinstalled the KLITE CODEC PACK over and over and am at my wits end...I cannot get this figured out.
Can someone PLEASE help?
The BLASTER appears to be tuning into the channel I want, but, I get the non responsive black screen...
I'm running a NextPVR server(Version 3.9.2) on a backend Windows 10 computer.
I'm running Kodi Krypton Version 17 beta 7 on a Raspberry PI.
I have many recordings of off air TV shows and am frustrated that Kodi's genre information is obviously incorrect.
As you can see in the attached picture, Genre information on the NextPVR server is complete and correct.
However, genre information on my Kodi device (utilizing the NextPVR addon) shows the genre to be "Other, Unknown".
I've also been experimenting with using JSON to control and retrieve information from my Kodi device.
When I request RecordingDetail using JSON from my Kodi device, I get the following response:
"genre": ["Other", "Unknown"]
I also get the same result when I run Kodi version 16 on a Windows PC.
The only common element is the NextPVR addon and the TVDB addon.
If I am viewing an in progress recording in Kodi when using the official PVR client. If I ff and hit the end of the recording it seems to stop playback and dump me back into Kodi rather than simply resume paying live tv. Am I doing something wrong? This is not a good experience.
